I think I might do a The Pretender rewatch. HuluPlus has all the episodes! (Netflix does on disk, but waiting around for multiple disks is a pain.)

Ah, Jarod/Ms. Parker. Is there a more messed-up ship? :D

They're kids together, but while Jarod is being held prisoner by the Centre and Ms. Parker is being traumatized due to her weird family and general badness by the Centre. Then when they're adults they become obsessed with each other in different ways, a lot of which boils down to:

Jarod: OMG RUN AWAY WITH ME BECAUSE WE'D BE TOTALLY AWESOME TOGETHER AND WE'RE SOULMATES.

Ms. Parker: OMG NO. I NEED TO CATCH YOU AND PUT YOU BACK IN THE CENTRE.

Jarod: LOL NO. BUT I WILL KEEP CALLING/SPYING/STALKING YOU.

Ms. Parker: I DON'T LIKE STALKING. MEET MY GUN.

And then for a while they think they might be brother and sister. HEH!

Dude. Seriously messed-up. I wish I could say I realized just how terribly messed up it was. I mean, I had an inkling, but MAN.

A re-watch sounds kinda fun. 90's fashions/hair/makeup FTW!

I saw a screencap of Ms Parker with a giant-ass cell phone and I laughed. XD

As opposed to Buffy (which I've been watching), where they don't even HAVE cell phones. Like, they finally mentioned them in season 5, but it was like this weird option to have one or not.

How did people survive before them?? It's like going out in the big scary world without a net!

I'm not sure! It seems totally unsafe now.

At one point throughout the series I had this theory that Miss Parker/Jared were related but that theory went out the window when I realize that their chemistry was hot as hell.

by the way do you remember Profiler and Pretender on Saturday night block on NBC.

Oh I remember that! I never really got into Profiler though.

You know what miss, the crossover episodes of shows. those where awesome. not a lot of shows do that.

I loved this show so much even though it only made sense about half of the time. I think I shipped Jarrod/Ms. Parker from the word go. This show still works for me (I would love to do an actual rewatch)

She really was a fabulous character! Totally my favorite in the series.

heh. I had the exact same thought last night and so went online and finally bought the DVDs (that had been sitting on my wishlist for years). Great minds, yada yada. :)

I rewatched the entire show several years ago, and omg Jarod/Miss Parker is one of my favourite OTPs of all time, which is funny because their entire relationship is basically conducted on the phone. I LIVED for the ~5 times they actually met, let me tell you, lol.

OMG I love them. <3 I have all the seasons and the movies on DVD and did a good watch-through a while back! It's tooootally worth doing. Because they are awesome and screwed up. They're pretty much the defining reason for my love of complex adversarial ships. I love how they're enemies, basically, but they wind up working together sometimes and there's all that history, and... Gah. Now I want to go back and watch some of the best episodes. Because them. <3

They're the King and Queen of Messed Up. :D I just watched the first two episodes and Jarod has already started sending Ms. Parker videos of her as a kid.
