Luke, Luke, Luke. Don't you know that women don't like surprise houses? Just look at Pete on Stargate SG-1. Poor bastard.

But seriously, I can see them heading for yet another breakup. After all, must have a summer cliffhanger. Ever since Luke used that book to plan out his dating Lorelai, I've been waiting for a Lorelai freakout. For a while I was starting to think that the book was just a cute little thing they used to push the two of them together, but after this episode, I'm back to my original thinking.

Luke has plans for the two of them. Big plans. He's buying a house. The only problem is that Lorelai does not do well with having her life planned for her, no matter how well intentioned. Look at the Max freakout. Look at Lorelai any time her mother tries to tell her to do something *small*. I predict that once she finds out about his plans, she'll be seemingly okay with it at first, but the freakout will slowly build until she and Rory are lost somewhere in Alberta.

Was discussing this idea with [livejournal.com profile] nandamai yesterday. She then suggested that once the Lorelai freakout happens, Luke'll buy into what Dean was telling him about not being enough for Lorelai. :(

Yup. I smell breakup. Again.

And as far as Rory/Logan goes, I *swear* we missed an episode in there to explain the gear grind. I like Logan (Christopher Jr. amuses me) but what I don't like is his flakiness. She needs to dump him and maybe look him up in five years to see if he's grown up at all. Just whatever happens, don't let her get back together with Dean. He's a user. Their relationship was always about him. (That and the friend that I usually watch GG with has taken to booing at the screen whenever he appears and she's kinda loud.)

ETA: Spoilers for SG-1's Threads in here. D'oh!

The first thing I said to my sister before the episode was even over: Well, he's screwed up now. Lorelai's going to freak!

*sighs* He's seen her screw up enough relationships you'd almost think he knew better by now.

Another one bites the dust.

Yeah, unfortunately you can see it coming a mile away. Dang. :(

I also said that if they do that THERE WILL BE BLOODSHED.

Oy.

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember something involving rage...

I have no will. Well, it was getting spoiled for GG or BSG.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2005-04-22 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Meep - there are spoilers for BSG out there? I don't think I want to know. Even more so than not being spoiled for SG-1. I like the BSG ride and not knowing what's next.

*nods* Rewatching the eps, I realised that half of the fun is not knowing what is coming. I've always been like this but a lot of BSG's tension depends on it.

Stay clear of gateworld apparently. There aren't that many spoilers out there yet but I'm avoiding them like the plague. Must be strong!

Yes! Stay strong!

I think a part of Luke knows how damn stupid this is, other wise he wouldn't have lied to Lorelai about his reason for volunteering at the museum.

If he sat her down and told her what he wants, instead of skipping along the garden path, so sure this is going to be a great suprise(idiot!) she's have the opportunity to freak, then think iit through and accept it.

He should know Lorelai hates being controlled. And hates having what people thinks she wants sprung on her. The Christpher debacle, anyone?

*shakes head* Their screwing up my OTP dammit! *pouts*

Yeah, that was a little odd. I would have almost expected him to come out and tell her. "I figured it was about time I owned a house." Or something. But this way he's really building it up in his mind.

Yeah. Lorelai needs time to adjust to things.

Yup yup.

Oh, I'm sure they'll eventually get back together. Gotta have the drama in the meantime though. ;)

As much as I hate this I smell at break up too. Except that there is this spoiler that makes me think Lorelai might be thinking the same thing as Luke. I was kind of shocked at the Logan/Rory break up. It kind of came out of no where.

Oooooooo. Spoiler! Don't tell me, but OOOOOOO.

Hehe I won't tell unless you ask.
