Vid Software?

What's everyone using for vid software these days? I had been using EditStudio 2 forever, which I still love because it's so damn easy, but it isn't able to output in high enough quality for my tastes. (Something tells me the days of 3mb vids are gone.) I tried the latest version of EditStudio, but for some reason they ditched the "mark in/mark out" feature which kicked so much ass. It really let you fine tune where a clip started and stopped, as well as let you go back later and adjust. In the latest version you have to just chop with your mouse (which is messy at best) and pray to God you don't want to change it later, because you can't. So that program is out.

I've heard nothing but bad about WMM, so don't really want to go there. Any suggestions?

ETA: Also, frickin wienerdogs can shut the hell up about my new icon.

Amazon delivered Magix Movie Edit Pro 10 today and I've just finished my first video with it and it utterly rocks!

I use WMM2... it's better than WMM as far as not freezing up. I've tried to use other programs and they've given me nothing but headaches, so I like to stick with what I know.

Are you able to buy that separately? Or do you have to get it bundled with XP?

I use Videostudio 9. Honestly, I haven't used it to fanvid, but I have it cause I do some video editing for work and I like the ease of it. Work bought me a license last year, so try out the full 30-day trial, and if you like, I'll send you the key.

Unless you plan to use it to make a Dr. Who video. In which case, I FORBID YOU TO. *g* Stop this shipper insanity already! Or, or... I'll... challenge you to a ship off!

I'll check it out. Thanks! And I don't mind buying the software if it's something I like.

It, um, is. OMGTHECUTE. And they even had their own 100-Days-style angst! Okay, so they have about 7 years to go before they could hit the level of S/J angst, but it's mainly about the cute.

Or, or... I'll... challenge you to a ship off!

YES! How we do that?
