I sort of gave up on most group shipperdom. I think when I was 12 and first into fandoms, it was kinda nice and not all that bad to hang around people, even if they were obsessed with the male in the ship. But then, you get older, and the letterwriting is horrifying, and no one should fixate on body parts THAT much, and the fanfic is just (almost) always so so bad it hurts.

So no, I have no recs. That and I don't watch Dr. Who (but I will when the DVDs come out!).

The problem is I don't really read fic. I'm just there for the discussion. So I'm usually skipping the fic posts and actually glancing at the other stuff. Which is also making me cranky since every other post lately is speculation on how Rose will die/leave. I wanna place where I can squee about what's going on NOW, dammit! And stuff that's already happened!

It was so my fault. I shouldn't have looked.

I'm all for having fun online (hell, it's practically my moto) but it's stuff like this that even makes me run away screaming.

Oh, it's over at T&C. Basically some fangirl went and contacted the costume designer for the show, asking exactly how to unfasten DT's Doctor pants in order to use for porn.

It was the proverbial straw to the proverbial camel. I've been rolling my eyes a *lot* at that community lately and so have several on my flist. It was like, "does anyone here actually talk/squee about Doctor/Rose in the show? you know, the canon that's happening right now?" *sigh*
