Oh yeah.. poor Daniel. The explosion was of course somebody trying to kill him because they're insanely jealous of his astounding beauty. Of course Jack will protect him, though being so dim it'll be Daniel that comes up with sucha clever idea to save himself, and thus the civilised world.
