Happiness is...

This is the cutest fic in all the land. Seriously. Any fandom. [livejournal.com profile] amilyn's 5-year-old daughter drew a picture book and then narrated it. The narration is transcribed.

If you'd like to read her earlier fic (all JLU and dinosaurs, I think), feel free to see them here:

I must ask her to write more often; all she wants to do now is draw.

Do you know HOW COOL IT IS to be able to share Doctor Who with my daughter? She has now seen everything but "EmptyChild/Doctor Dances" and the "Doomsday" 2-parter. I'm thinking she may be all right with seeing the former given how blase she's been about this season's Scary Stuff, and I'm expecting sobbing when Rose leaves...but I can't quite not let her watch Rose leave and then expect her to understand the new companion. She's been watching lots of Old School and now LOVES Four and Sarah Jane as well, so she gets the change concept pretty well. So we'll see.

AWWWWWWWW!!

And I'm impressed your daughter can handle some of the scariness of Doctor Who. I have a little 5-year-old nephew that would be *way* too scared. I did get him addicted to Star Wars but he has to hide behind the couch anytime Darth Vader comes on the screen. It's a love/hate thing because he *had* to be Darth Vader for Halloween. :D

Hope she's able to deal with Doomsday. At least better than I did. *cough* :D
