Bah. The drinking didn't take long and now they're back on the TARDIS with Rose refusing to wear any used underwear from the wardrobe. Hmm. That should be "knickers" right?

Okay, you two are going to have to do *something*. For like three scenes since Ten is still dinking around with Martha and Jack.

(From the way I talk, you'd think this *would* be an NC-17 fic, wouldn't you?)

*taps fingers*

I've got slugs, tribbles and robots already. Maybe the TARDIS needs a bath?

ETA: Switched over to an ending section and now AU!Nine, Ten and Rose are playing ring around the console. Yeah, that's getting cut. Frickin morons.

Knickers it is :)

Thanks! *g*

Inside or out? ;->

And if Ten is with Martha and Jack, who is "you two" besides Rose? The TARDIS? :: lacks caffeine, is confused ::

Inside or out? ;->

Probably both could use a good scrubbing...

Heh heh. AU!Nine. Rose is still in the parallel world.

Ah! Of course! I knew that. (I did so. Shut up.)

Well come on! I expect you to pay attention to every little thing I babble about when flailing about writing! ;)

Well, if you're going to go saying I'm not allowed to read it, I have to glean every little bit I can...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
This is true. And no you can't. :D

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Although I swear to God I just had a "What Would Val Do Think?" I struck a line and replaced it after realizing it made it sound like the Doctor did not give a shit about prior companions.

Moment, that should be. I had a moment.

I have many moments with my fic. We like to be alone.

{{{ glomp }}}

See? I am not an OMGNOSHIPBADMAKEITGOAWAY looney, and you are not a batchipper.

We are the sane ones. *nods vigorously*

It's actually far more likely to be the former who want my head by the time I'm done with the Nyssafic...

YAY!

We are the sane ones. *nods vigorously*

Exactly. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (And actually, I had another WWVT? moment a couple of weeks ago when hashing through a major plot point/reveal. Originally the thing was supposed to directly relate to Rose but I realized that would be cutting off the past. So I switched it to relate to the Doctor.)

It's actually far more likely to be the former who want my head by the time I'm done with the Nyssafic...

Uh oh. :D

Which is not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. Because dude, if anyone in the universe lives more in the right the hell now than the Doctor? I'm deathly afraid of encountering them. Seriously.

And especially with Nine, who was all "full speed ahead" because, while there was good stuff behind, it was a bit obscured by the HUGE LOOMING BAD.

We tend to consider the regeneration into Ten as the primary turning point in that, but as I think about it I'm not sure he was quite there yet even then, although it was a big step. It's just now occurred to me to think of his reaction to SJS as not just general squeeee, but as "Hey, there was actually some stuff in my life before the HUGE LOOMING BAD that was pretty damn nice, wasn't there?"

There will be squee. It is unavoidable. It is my destiny.

The nice thing about being ship-indifferent, as opposed to anti-ship, is that I am free to indulge in the squee on the rare occasions when I feel like it. ;-D (How the trauma of Forever Knight didn't render me permanently anti-ship, I'll never know, but not arguing...)

Oh, completely true. Which is why I start out my fic with Ten being all Ten instead of curled up in a ball in the corner of the TARDIS. :D

Interesting point.

Hee hee!!

Oh man. Even *I've* heard horror stories about the Forever Knight fandom.

Oh, the fandom was lovely. Small, friendly, intelligent.

The show -- or, more precisely, the bipolar hack of a creator/exec prod -- ripped our hearts into little pieces, stomped on them, and took lighter fluid and a match to the remnants.

And then tried to claim he'd been making a tragedy all along. Which, um...no.

The reason so many people I know won't touch Gray's Anatomy with a ten-foot pole, no matter how much raving we hear about it, is that Jim Parriott is involved in it. And we will never, ever, ever trust him again.

It's obvious what the problem is. You're missing the ninjas and pirates!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, they kinda did ninjas on the show and pirates in a novel. Although...they weren't really pirate, pirates... Hmmm.

Okay, don't think I want the Ten/Rose reunion while Rose is in a wench outfit though. 'Tis silly enough as it is.

Snakes on a plane?

Wah.
