Update on plagiarized SG-1 fics - mods of time_and_chips have deleted all of the person's fic posts. Also, mods at Whofic have deleted the person's account.
Um, congratulations? Sort of a backhanded compliment, all that.
And were all the stolen stories identified? I've often wondered if I were plagiarized anywhere, but nobody's ever noticed anything. I suspect I'm not porny enough. *g*
You and me both. (Well, that and the fact that I've finished a grand total of, like, four fics in the last ten years...) Occasionally, I wonder what percentage of readers even make it past the lack of a pairing listed in any of my headers. But then that gets depressing and I stop.
My one moment of plagiarism glory was in FK fandom. By someone "brilliant" enough to recycle it in the same not-exactly-overpopulated fandom. *facepalm*
Well...not much porn fic around here either. Much? None. :D

Well, to be fair (or, y'know, more than fair), it was about nine years old by then. And I was no longer active in the fandom, and this person just didn't realize that there's pretty literally nobody who was in the fandom while the show was still airing who doesn't know me. And that they pretty much all read it way-back-when we actually read all the fic that was posted because you could.
Yay! Plagiarism sucks. I don't know why anyone does it, or how anyone can do it and think they won't get caught. *shakes head* Anyway, hurrah for the mods on T&C and the folks at the Teaspoon for deleting. :)
Yeah, they were super quick! And actually they sniffed me out even before I had a chance to email them. Was waiting to see if a few more stories could be identified first before doing it. But they all rock in my book.

Yeah, so much stuff out there could be copied work. Your fics could have new life as Muppets slash and you'd never know! ;)
