gmail has been up and down (mainly down) all day and I feel cut off. There could be important LJ comments going on right now, dammit! Also, the new LJ Update Journal page sucks.

Let's see, what else can I bitch about? The fact that I still haven't done any Christmas shopping? No one's getting Christmas cards this year. No one. (What is it about this year? Everyone I know seems really "can we get Christmas over with?" this year. Even my parents did a buy-a-goat donation thing as presents to each other this year, partly just to be done with it all.)

You know, I went all out last year decorating my place, which could have something to do with the fact that I'd just moved in. This year? Bleh. Can't be bothered. I've done just as much as I had to WRT Christmas presents, and now I'm done :-p and don't have to think about it any more, and Christmas cards? Pfffft.

What *is* it about this year? I've heard that same sentiment from more people this year. Last year: deck the halls! This year: MEH. My coworker has announced that she's skipping Christmas this year and is instead going to have taco day. And normally this is someone that goes around wearing a santa hat.

Hmm. Now I want a taco.

And not any of this Taco Bell crap either. Like a *real* taco. Possibly fish in nature...

Oh, that! You'd responded to my link about fish tacos and for a minute I thought maybe the article was talking about goat tacos as well.

It's not *adopt* a goat, it's *buy* a goat. You know, where you can buy livestock for people - charity thing.

The thought of having to decorate my family home now that I'm back for the holidays fills me with dread. Ack. (Conversely, the thought of wrapping presents and writing cards is a wee bit exciting.)

But then, it doesn't feel like Christmas yet to me anyway.

Maybe this will cheer you up; in two recent interviews about the Christmas special, David Tennant said the Doctor is sad because he's just lost the love of his life. Squeee! It's probably sad how happy that made me.
