Doctor Who: The Aztecs (One, Susan, Ian, Barbara)

  • Awww, the Doctor became smitten with this Aztec woman! And then he kinda used her. Boo. But he and Jack O'Neill should get together and tell war stories about accidental marriages/engagement/sex.

  • Barbara is Daniel Jackson! She's got a freaky knowledge of history and she won't die!

  • Ian got in the middle of a warrior power struggle and gave someone a Vulcan pincher grip.

  • Susan refused to marry someone, saying she'd choose who she'd fall in love with. OMG, they're just so heavy-handed with the foreshadowing! Bastards.

  • Am very happy this was only 4 parts instead of trying to pad it out to 6. There was only one time where they almost got away but were captured, extending their time there. And I managed to resist the urge to hit the fast-forward.

Barbara is a history teacher and dang but she remembers it all. I felt bad for the Doctor's poor fiancee.

Doesn't she? :D

I know. And he seemed pretty cold about it, first leading her on to get info from her and get an in with someone. And then a brush-off of "you'll always have a special place with me." Oh really? Can she? That supposed to mean something to her when she's just gotten her heart broken? Bah.

Ooh, I haven't seen that one yet! I've only seen the First Doctor when they met the Daleks. It was very...old-fashioned, in some ways. Also, I don't really like this Doctor much.

Heh heh. Old-fashioned - totally. And very slow. Very very slow. And this Doctor - he has his moments where I like him, but he's written *so* differently from the other Doctors that often I forget that he's *the* Doctor.
