On to more important things than the Aqua Teen Hunger Force terrorizing the greater Boston area... Apparently the last Harry Potter book will be coming out on July 21. At which time a good 85% of my flist will undoubtedly shut down. (And at which time I'll most likely have to compose songs involving the Doctor and Rose that I'll then sing to myself for entertainment.) I've watched the movies and am vaguely aware of what's happened in the books (one day I *will* get the UK audio to listen to in my car), so I have a mild curiosity of what will happen in this final book.

The wanking after HBP had me backing way off from the LJ fandom. I had never been an H/Hr shipper before, but the attacks on the poor ole Pumpkins were beyond anything that I ever seen before.

I always want to say to those who attack others for their fannish beliefs, "please think of what would think?"

Indeed, I do think that Tolkien or Lucas or JKR or Roddenberry or any other creator would be very disappointed in some of their so-called fans, esp. those who are mean to other fans.
