You know what LJ needs? A notice for when you're unfriended. Not just when you've been friended. Perhaps one with a pic of Frank the goat giving the finger? Not that I've been unfriended or unfriended anyone, I just like to keep things neat and it oddly pleases me to have the same number of "Friends" as "Friend of." (Also, I swear this incessant Who posting is gonna drive people away sooner or later. And then there will be a number imbalance!)

They could have that instead of "Notify me when...One of my friends uploads a new userpic." That's a bit nuts. I just don't need to know every time someone uploads a new "I LOVE SOCKS OMG!!!11!!!" icon. I'm sure I'll see it in time.

There's a maranel thingy that tells you if you have been friended/unfriended. If you go to my lj and look on the side bar it's there - a link to Marnanel.

But it doesn't email, does it? I am lazy and want an email notice. :D

Does LJ have the equivalent of a suggestion box? Maybe you can give the idea to them - it might be available in 2010 :)

I gave up a while back on having even numbers for Friends and Friends Of, mostly because I had to go FO (oh, psychotic extended family members...there's nothing like them), and I friended a lot of people that do fandom things but don't really friend back.

Yeah, it was completely freaky...since I still don't know how they found my site. *shrugs* Just taught me that locking is better than people searching you out on the internet.

Yeah. Meep! Fortunately for me, my family is totally internet illiterate. :D

So late the other night, I turn on the tv, and as I flip by CBC, there is an episode of Dr Who. The series with the guy who's on Heroes now - is he Nine? I've never watched... I don't know. But anyway, they were in the 1800's, and some energy beings took over dead bodies and made them all into creepy Zombies. So Dr Maybe9 and Billie Piper are saying goodbye, and saying how they were really glad they'd met each other. It just made me wonder how far into the series was that... They were being all cute, and kinda romantic, and it was kind of sucking me in a bit. Except I can't watch any more new shows, and I don't want to turn into an obsessive Who poster... not that there's anything wrong with that. But was that near the beginning? Had they just met? Had they had a few adventures? And maybe some UST?

Oh, that was "The Unquiet Dead." It was the 3rd episode of the first series. Aside from when they'd met, they'd only been on one adventure so far, but it was a wee bit emotional for both of them, and so they bonded. And there's definitely UST, and she eventually becomes what the main writer of the show called "the love of the Doctor's life." :)

And everyone should post obsessively about Who. ;)

I was unfriended recently by someone I used to talk to quite a lot, but she has hundreds on her friends list and we kind of drifted. As you probably saw on my LJ, I also recently defriended someone that has close to a thousand people on her flist. We aren't in the same fandoms anymore and literally don't talk at all anymore. So I unfreinded and it got turned into a huge drama which was not my intent at all. LJ is serious business.

That it is.

I think it's settled down now. I honestly never thought with close to a thousand people that it would even be noticed. Taught me a lesson though.

Especially the bit with Frank giving you the finger, I'd like to see how they'd figure that one out. Seeing goats don't have hands. Reminds me of The Emperor's New Groove. Oh, I love that movie. *goes off on a tangeant about how funny it is and how much she loves it, then realises she's gone off on a tangeant and wraps it up, nicely bringing it back to whatever she was going on about to start with* yeah, so... Yeah.

Though I might have to unfriend you now because I LOVE SOCKS and I'm not feeling that you're appreciating the sock-love. ;)
