I was so tired, I fell asleep during the second half of 24. It was totally Jack's fault as he was talking, and Kiefer Sutherland's voice is rather soothing when he's not yelling. Come to think of it, even when he is yelling.

The last thing I remember was Jack and Chloe meeting face-to-face for the first time. I think I was mentally yelling, "HUG, DAMMIT," and then I passed out. Although I did drift in and out very briefly.

Me: zzzzzzzzzz *blink*

Jack: My brother's death was my fault.

Me: Total jerk of a father for letting him think...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. *blinkblink*

Me: Why's the sister-in-law out...zzzzzzzzzzzz.

So, yeah. I missed it. Anyone's welcome to fill me - caught a wee bit on my flist from posts, but I think I'm mainly interested in what Marilyn was doing out of CTU.

Basically, she thought dear hubby was cheating on her (not that she cared except that she wanted something on him so she could divorce his sorry ass), and followed him one night to this house. Wherein hubby was talking to some folks with Russian accents. Upon being pressed by Jack, she thought she could maybe remember how to get there if they went there.

Naturally, she foolishly spilled this all to Jack's bad!Daddy, and then asked him to look after her son while she was gone. She left, and then bad!Daddy took grandson from CTU (with permission, naturally). While she was on her way, bad!Daddy called her and told her to instead take Jack to this other address, or her son gets it (he's just all filled up with family feeling, isn't he?). She, naturally, agrees.

They get there, and boom! The place is booby-trapped.

Does that explain it?

OH! I think I might have woken up at an explosion! Did Jack jump through a window? That sounds hazily familiar. :D

So yeah, Jack was talking to her, explaining how it was his fault *not* that bluetooth boy (BB) was dead, she said she wasn't really that upset b/c she had been trying to leave him for years but he threatened to keep baby bauer from her. Jack mentions Russian jerkoff/BB being involved with the nukes, she says she followed BB once late at night, thinking he was cheating on her and she'd have leverage to get custody of baby bauer. Said she couldn't see anyone at the house she followed him too, but heard Russian accents. Jack wanted to know if she could identify the house, said maybe so off they go. She makes mistake of talking to Bauer senior, telling him what's going on and to have him watch baby bauer. After they leave senior decides to take baby bauer out of CTU "for his own good" Calls her while they're on the way, says if she gives Jack the right address he'll kill baby bauer, gives her new address nearby to use instead. She almost tells jack, but chickens out. Jack/CTU squad go in, house is empty except for a happily planted bomb! They rush out, house explodes. Condition of Jack is unknown, bad guys chase after Marilyn/Milo, chase ensues *very cool too!* And they end up taking off on foot to try and escape....and then...beep, beep beep beep....next week on an all new 24.....Jack finds out who's responsible for bluetooth boy's death....

So yeah, maybe a bad summary, but there ya go!

he was running the field side if they needed him to hack into a computer system. The part I loved, when Bill told Jack that Milo would be going with him, he asked, "why not Chloe?" She was to stay at CTU and run comms....

Awww! He wanted Chloe!

I agree, his voice is VERY soothing. I think it's why I always crave a Ford after watching the commercials he narrates. I don't know what he'd talk about...but he should do audio tapes to get people to fall asleep, or learn a new language or something.

Oh totally! Now you too can fall asleep faster with Keifer Sutherland! :D
