Slings & Arrows

Saw S1 episodes 1-3 of Slings & Arrows last night, which was half of their 6-episode season. How fun was that? The show didn't really get going until half-way through episode 2, but then they had to set the stage - sometimes literally. The story's about this theater group that's lost its soul, and the return of a former player who went mad and is now seeing a ghost. And oh, they're putting on Hamlet. :D My favorite shot. (Apparently this is the dude from Due South? Never saw that show.)

It's a bit hard to describe - sometimes a comedy, sometimes a drama, but totally worth watching. Found a trailer for S1 on youtube:

Hehehehehehe. I knew you'd like it. *g*

I love Anna's reaction to seeing Oliver's skull. I love Anna, period.

Neither had I. And then I finished watching S&A, and realized I was kind of in love with Paul Gross, and now, well, as soon as they get to my house, I will be the proud owner of the first two seasons of Due South. You may want to watch out for that happening to you. ;)

Oh, totally. And I loved Geoffrey's "Trust me. I don't want to do anything...weird with the head." :D

Heh. "So, you see, it's not weird, and in fact, it is notarized."

He really is very cool, isn't he?

Indeed. Not to mention very, very pretty. *g* And he tends to play characters who are just fascinating, and who hint at many unexplored layers beyond what you see onscreen.

I love seeing characters like that - ones that have some substance to them.

And he manages to give that kind of substance to characters who I think otherwise wouldn't have it (most notably to his character in Wilby Wonderful). There's just...something about him. It's not anything he does, really, it's just some indescribable quality he has.

This, along with the DW obsession, basically makes you my mother. Sorry.

Nuh uh! Because...she likes CSI, doesn't she? I do not watch that show.
