"sugar cookie" tea is pretty good.
Ah, "BNF" wank. You gotta love it. Like Karen said, it's the typical "BNFs = bad!" post that every fandom gets once they become a Fandom.
I'll never quite get why people are so concerned with which person might know this or that person, and what they might be saying behind locked posts. Or giving more weight to what someone says just because they're more "well known." But if someone *is* into swimming down that stream...have fun. I'm not gonna yell at you for doing whatever you please. Just remember that "well known" does not necessarily equal "sane."
And unlike the SPN poster who's telling people to venture outside their comfort zones (which was more in relation to reading fic), I'd *much* prefer to paddle around in tiny little pools where the glee is plentiful, snark is there when you need it, and I make my own crazy, thank you very much.
So there.

HA! I will, promise. Am simply waiting for n's questions and maybe something else to post about. I'm going through an odd phase where I want my posts to be about something. Which, I know, is silly.

And where certain wieneranimals will exchange worrying glances behind your back and mouth "Oh no. There she goes AGAIN." to each other. :D (You know I tease 'cause I

Nah. It's better than my 25 posts a day.

Uh huh. :D
Also, I *know* there had to have been a conversation between you and Jojo when I went off the DW deep end that went like...
Karen: Dude. Is she serious? I can't tell. Did she go nuts? What just happened?
Jojo: Yeah, just ignore her.
Poor Jojo lived through my S/J insane days. Besides, the mocking keeps me grounded.

Julie? Can I use you for your SG-1 newsletter power? I'd like to start drawing nude pictures of Daniel in various poses, and I wanna make sure they get linked. All the time.

Which, oddly enough, also seems to have the underlying whine of "Stop being friends with each other so you'll be friends with MEEEEEEE." I know this happens over and over (and over and over) again, but I still can't stop boggling.

I can just imagine Julie's response if you did send her such a drawing.
Julie: Oh, an email from Michelle. I wonder what she sent me. What's this? A drawing of Daniel? Why would she-- Oh my god. OH MY GOD. My eyes! My eyes! MICHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLE! *shakes fists*

And I'd have to *tell* her it was Daniel, otherwise she'd probably think I was sending her random stick-figure porn.

Alas, and alack -- I shall just have to satisfy myself with reading your random posts of general fen craziness (of which I find highly amusing) and secretly despair at all the truly, TRULY
wacked outintelligent DW posts that you have friendslocked.*cries in the corner*

Sorry about that. *pats* But good rule of thumb to spot the difference - BNFs have minions. Sadly, I can't make anyone do anything.

Well, you do make us wonder about your sanity sometimes.

So that's how you tell them apart? Okay. But don't you have to be a BNF to know these secret details?
That paragraph was better than the virtual cookie at making me laugh. Thanks. I'm going to just have to go off and watch some DW #4 to cheer myself up even more.

As others have pointed out, personally? I'm in fandom to have fun. If we were to do all that she proposes to help the supposed little people in fandom, it wouldn't be fun anymore, it'd be work. And so much with the no on that.
Also, there's a rather interesting digression on just what the hell she means by "economy fandom," but that's another issue. Check your email, if you haven't already.

You do not. It's not as extreme as the Masons. Or so I'm told. Although I have heard tale of candles and sheep.

Pretty much, yeah. And this song and dance is as old as fandom...

Well, yeah! And like some other people have pointed out in that post, there's probably a reason they're a BNF. Sure, you'll always run across the BNF where you're always asking yourself, "Why? Dear God, WHY do people like her/him?" But with some, they're that way because they do put out stuff people enjoy. With SG-1 fandom I was aware of BNFs because I read a *lot* of fic. With DW fandom - not a clue. I could have BNFs on my flist and not know it! OMG. *retroactively fangirls*
Also, there's a rather interesting digression on just what the hell she means by "economy fandom," but that's another issue. Check your email, if you haven't already.
That was BRILLIANT.
