"sugar cookie" tea is pretty good.

[livejournal.com profile] poohmusings is a bad influence. Pointing me to SPN wank when she should be doing things like answering my interview questions.

Ah, "BNF" wank. You gotta love it. Like Karen said, it's the typical "BNFs = bad!" post that every fandom gets once they become a Fandom.

I'll never quite get why people are so concerned with which person might know this or that person, and what they might be saying behind locked posts. Or giving more weight to what someone says just because they're more "well known." But if someone *is* into swimming down that stream...have fun. I'm not gonna yell at you for doing whatever you please. Just remember that "well known" does not necessarily equal "sane."

And unlike the SPN poster who's telling people to venture outside their comfort zones (which was more in relation to reading fic), I'd *much* prefer to paddle around in tiny little pools where the glee is plentiful, snark is there when you need it, and I make my own crazy, thank you very much.

So there.

It's even so much the BNFs=BAD. It's the "OMG you guys! Stop being friends and hanging out with each other! It's mean!" thing that comes out of most of those BNF wanks.

Yup! That's what the vibe from this one as well. That whole, "OMG, they're a clique! And they won't let me in!" Hrm. Maybe they're just friends? But apparently relationships must be weighed against fandom impact.

Julie? Can I use you for your SG-1 newsletter power? I'd like to start drawing nude pictures of Daniel in various poses, and I wanna make sure they get linked. All the time.

You realize that if I wasn't at work, you'd be getting a dirty little stick figure drawing? Unfortunately, by the time I get home, the moment will have passed. There's a tiny window of funny, you know.

*SNORT*

I can just imagine Julie's response if you did send her such a drawing.

Julie: Oh, an email from Michelle. I wonder what she sent me. What's this? A drawing of Daniel? Why would she-- Oh my god. OH MY GOD. My eyes! My eyes! MICHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLE! *shakes fists*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
BWAH!

And I'd have to *tell* her it was Daniel, otherwise she'd probably think I was sending her random stick-figure porn.

[identity profile] splash-the-cat.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
And you know what I would send you in return?

DR WHO MANIPS. WITH BABIES.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
WAH.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
And I *would* like Julie to someday again beta my fic, and so I'm thinking sending her tiny Daniel wang is off the list.

Or maybe it would help...

"OMG you guys! Stop being friends and hanging out with each other! It's mean!"

Which, oddly enough, also seems to have the underlying whine of "Stop being friends with each other so you'll be friends with MEEEEEEE." I know this happens over and over (and over and over) again, but I still can't stop boggling.
