BSG

Wow, is next week the finale already? Seems like this season just started.

Start with the last first. Just from the preview for next week, I have the feeing the finale is going to annoy. My predictions - we'll see Baltar walking, but since 95% of the fleet will want to kill him, he'll end up fleeing to the Cylons. Think I heard Adama say something like, "My God, they're Cylons." But do you think we'll get to see who? Nooooooo. He'll be looking at some report that we won't be able to see or something, and so there will be this mystery until next season. I hate cliffhangers.

I did feel for Lee this episode for some reason. Weird, since normally I want him to pull his head out of his ass. He kept standing up for what he thought was right (whether or not he was right or Dee was right is another issue to bat around), but kept getting knocked down - his dad and Dee.

Speaking of Dee, so after all that Kara nonsense, this is what she leaves him over? Huh. Well, I've said it before - TPTB have always seemed to be gearing up for Lee/Kara. (No, Kara's not dead. There's absolutely no way.)

One thing that did make me roll my eyes though was Lee being the one to question Laura. Come on. That had pointy "DRAMATIC MOMENT" arrows all over it - the classic not-a-lawyer triumphs in the courtroom thing. I think I would have been happier and it would have been more effective to me if the lawyer had questioned, but Laura kept looking at Lee sitting at the table, directing her answers to Lee with the undertones of "you ratted me out." And glares from Adama - Lee meeting his gaze. Ooooooh. That would have been snifty. And subtle. OOOOOOH.

You'll see Cylons. It wasn't Adama saying it. It was someone else saying, "My Gods, WE'RE Cylons."

Oh yeah? Went by too quick for me, obviously.

Also, Lee had to be the one to question Laura. HAD to. Daddy had just called him to the carpet for Tigh's utter embarrassment by Romo Pumpkin and he wasn't about to be eviscerated for not taking Laura down himself.

Yeah, it was quick, but I kinda thought it was Sam saying it.

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking ;)

And HA! Between this and my grandfather issue last week, it's obvious I don't really pay attention. *snickers*

You expect subtle from BSG?

hink I heard Adama say something like, "My God, they're Cylons." But do you think we'll get to see who? Nooooooo. He'll be looking at some report that we won't be able to see or something, and so there will be this mystery until next season. I hate cliffhangers.

You sure that was Adama, cause I could have sworn it was Anders.

I did feel for Lee this episode for some reason. Weird, since normally I want him to pull his head out of his ass. He kept standing up for what he thought was right (whether or not he was right or Dee was right is another issue to bat around), but kept getting knocked down - his dad and Dee.

My twin (who I watch with) was just pissed off at Lee for everything this episode. I understood why he did what he did. I get that believes in the very idea of everyones right to defend themself. I also think he would have made one hell of a defense lawyer.

As for Dee leaving, my theroy is it had nothing to do with the trail and everything to do with Kara's "death". I think Dee got tired of watching her husband grieve for another woman. I'm actually shocked she was still there.

Anders seems to have been able to let Kara go in the last couple of weeks. Lee on the other hand is just wallowing in his grief. It's part of the reason it choose not to go back to being the CAG. It's not that Sam loves Kara any less then Lee does. But Sam was only with Kara for two years tops. Lee/Kara have at least a decade worth of history together. They've burried loved ones together.

Speaking of Dee, so after all that Kara nonsense, this is what she leaves him over? Huh.

See above comments on why she really left. Going even further with that. After all of Lee's words of love and devotion they turned out to be just that. Hollow words, with not much emontion behind them. Lee's grief over Kara's "death" spoke voulmes. I can't even imagine having to watch your husband grieve for the woman he loves.

Well, I've said it before - TPTB have always seemed to be gearing up for Lee/Kara. (No, Kara's not dead. There's absolutely no way.)

Of course Kara is not dead, and of course Kara/Lee is the end game here.

You sure that was Adama, cause I could have sworn it was Anders.

That could easily be. It went by pretty quick for me.

As for Dee leaving, my theroy is it had nothing to do with the trail and everything to do with Kara's "death". I think Dee got tired of watching her husband grieve for another woman. I'm actually shocked she was still there.

That seems more plausible. I just wish we would have gotten a clue of that onscreen though.
