Toasters will one day rule the world.
So I finally unpacked my toaster this morning. (Finishing up kitchen work plus I'd been out of town, blah blah blah.) This thing has *controls.* Don't believe me? I'm reading the manual.
Toast Button and Indicator - Press this button if you want to toast bread. The indicator will light to confirm that "Toast" is selected.
It also warms, defrosts and does something special to bagels I'm not sure I should ask about. I'm taking it on a test run now where, yes, I want to toast bread, but the bread is also frozen! Normal toasters would go blindly on, toasting the frozen bread, but not Toast Central 3000 (as is its new name.)
Oh, look at that. Toast!
ETA: BSG Crossroads I/II spoilers in the comments now. (HA!)

I am very disappointed that you did not name your new toaster "Chief".

And the toast was actually really good toast this morning. Like, the Perfect Toast. I'll have to admit it.

I have no idea what it does but it doesn't have any indicator lights.
Toast rules.

I really have no idea why it is so expensive. Maybe it will be last forever and become a family heirloom.
