Yet MORE BSG
I can't seem to stop yapping about BSG this morning. No worries. I'm sure tomorrow I'll be back to writing 50 paragraphs on why losing the Zero Room meant that the Doctor was destined to fall in in love with Rose Tyler a mere 150 years later. Hey, the Zero Room didn't smell like roses for nothing... ;)
You know, at first I wasn't all that convinced that the four were *actually* Cylons. Mainly because I thought that if they were, the Cylons would have been having dreams about the Chief's kid as well or something. But then
suzvoy linked an article where Ron pretty much said they were. Huh. And guess this makes things really neat and tidy for the eventual Lee/Kara we all know is coming. (I may eventually like that storyline - just depends on how it's written. But I've always been very ship-indifferent with BSG - not fawning over the ships, but not hating them either.)
I've been thinking about the final Cylon and I've decided who I'd love to see be it: Laura. Not because I hate her character or anything, but if you think of her history, of everything she's done, her having to deal with her Cylonness would be wicked-cool. The tables would be turned - she'd been wanting to skin Baltar alive for his involvement, and to find out she *is* one? OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Not sure you can rule her out because of her cancer either. If Anders *is* a Cylon, he had pneumonia (or something) at the end of last season, so these Cylons can get sick.
And also, I think Mary's got the acting chops to pull something like this off, where it would be *amazing.*

SEE!? *kicks RDM'S puppies... and his wife's stupid cat* Dammit... and that's what I've been saying. That's why Dee had to leave Lee... and... and...
Oh, MAAAAAAAAAAAN. He better stay off the streets, that's all I'm saying. And come up with a very good reason why Tigh is a Cylon. That's my babydaddy.

Yeah, pretty much.

And I can't quite decide if I'm surprised about Felix or not. I am in some ways, and others not.

Beause of Anders, you mean?

Oh. Right. I had forgotten about Dee leaving.
I actually think she would make for a very well-placed cylon operative. More-so than Anders, anyway. (Though it does explain why he's so good at that ridiculous game.)

Good point. And Anders wasn't even really supposed to be on Galactica, if not for Starbuck heading back to the planet (who was directed by Laura *ahem*.) But since these people had no clue, makes you wonder if there were originally *more* than five special Cylons. After all, millions died in those attacks and it'd be risky to bet on five specific people to survive.

Well. But even the cylons didn't know who the final five were. That's why Xena went on her vision quest with Baltar, remember?

Okay, I see where I'm falling down in this logic. This was all organized by GOD.

Although what would be interesting would be if "we're all Cylons" referred to everyone in the fleet. I'm not sure how that would work, but it would be kind of cool. And mindfrakky in a better way than just those four being Cylons.
I still think Kara's some kind of goddess/Lord of Kobol now.

Mwah.
but somehow, I don't think humlons figure out their android heritage via BOB FRAKKING DYLAN. No.
You'd hope not at least. :D

That would be so COOL.

Oh, probably. :D

And it's totally the kind of thing RDM would pull, too.

Feh. I didn't mind Lee and Kara so much in season one, but now? They are so freaking dysfunctional it makes my head explode. Dysfunctional is the bread of life to some fans, but it makes me very, very cranky.

She is made of awesome and I'd love to see her(and Adama and Lee) deal with that. But...I dunno, Ron Moore would have to screw around with the previous canon *so* much. Of course, he's pretty comfortable with doing that, so I'd say the odds that she is the final cylon are pretty good.

And they were dysfunctional to begin with, even. I found their relationship extremely fascinating in the beginning. (Oddly enough, not in an I-need-to-ship way though.) The whole thing with Zak; the relationship between Kara, Adama and Lee; CAG and subordinate. But the love square got too soap opera.

Heh heh. Well, probably no one is safe - living or dead. And probably shouldn't rule out Ron himself - and he comes on the screen, "it's meeeeeee! I'm the final Cylon!!" Heh.

Almost a week later I'm not thinking about Earth and what kind of earth Kara found. Cause it would be really intresting if it was present day earth. And Eddie brought up a great point in the EW interview right after the show.
I think it's in my blood to be a shipper for what ever show I'm watching. Even with my crime shows I ship on the side.
ITA I've always thought that Rosline was the final Cylon. I mean her history with her vison. The connection with Sharon and Caprica. It makes sense.
There has been some much talk about Kara being the final Cylon, that I hope it's just smoke screen. Cause that would just be the simple way out. I think Kara's destiny has always been about finding earth. I don't think she has anything to do with the final five.
