Maybe this wasn't such a good plan.

The plan was to spoil myself and watch new Who eps if they appealed. But I made the mistake of wandering off my flist. So naturally that resulted in a "O_O" post in the Filter O' Crazy, to which the sane UK people on my flist responded with, "uh, no." Apparently I'm unable to take my own advice of taking into account the source. *deletes f2 in my links*

I've now read bouncy posts, "meh" posts and posts in between. Still can't decide. It *would* be nice to do it all at once at the end, since I'm sure there will be some sort of character arc that won't be completely clear until the end...

Hmm. Actually, the strong desire to watch after first seeing posts pop up is kinda passing now. *goes back to Classic Who*

I think the last longstanding one on regular TV was Dr. Quinn.

Blame the same cost-cutting impulses that led to the supremacy of the "reality" show, since they don't even want to spend the money on regular scripted dramas unless they're bringing in ridonkulous numbers. :-P

We persevere, and thank heaven for Masterpiece Theatre. *wry g*

Reality TV has eaten the country's collective brain. It is a such a shame, because so many good shows have gotten the ax in favor of utter garbage. The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll comes to mind.
