I am WEAK. OMG, I am weak. Okay, I only sprinted ahead to the very end because I'm supposed to be in my car as we speak.
Laughed my butt off at the "bigger on the inside" moment.
Got a bit sniffly at the Rose mention.
"Recently. A friend of mine. Rose, her name was. Rose. And...we were together. Anyway."
"And where is she now?"
"With her family. Happy. She's fine."
Of course, he says that last line *really* fast, doing that emotional dodge thing.
I was actually liking Martha from that whole "bigger on the inside thing," and then she started sorta throwing herself at the Doctor. See, *this* is what I knew was coming for S3. And while the Doctor puts her off, I'm really not looking forward to this element.
But I very much liked the "welcome aboard, Miss Jones!" Yeah, I'll watch this all later.

I think Martha's behavior is understandable, since he kissed her, but as

*shrug*
I'll be honest: I could *totally* 'ship those two if I didn't still kinda want them to give the UST a break for a while. I might not have 'shipped D/R, but it was kinda hard to miss that RTD did. (Which may have been a big part of what put me off the idea: I tend to get irked with couples who have the equivalent of a neon sign over their heads saying "IN LOVE" instead of letting the chemistry--or lack thereof--just speak for itself. ;-) )

That's kind of what I took away from it, too. Because he was so, "NO WAY" about it.

See, I think she tried to pass it off as a "just kidding! gotcha!" thing with the whole "I only go for humans anyway." (Or whatever that line was.) But when he turns away, she's looking all glum he shot her down.
*sighs*
I mean, I think it's nice that they're portraying it as one-sided given everything that's happened, but still. Bleh.

I almost did a blanket "*nod*" to this, but then focused on the beginning part. :D But I would have *loved* it if they'd left that alone this season. Would have been on board this train quicker than you can say boo.

Oh, I know plenty of people got turned off to the blatancy of it all. But I'm kinda the opposite - I'm a *sucker* for onscreen canon ships. Sucker! And if they're cute about it? God, I never stood a chance.
First couple of seasons on SG-1, I was interested in Sam/Daniel. But after S4 and that whole "more than I should" thing with Sam/Jack? My brain went running off with a "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" :D

So far I'm successfully doing the "la-la-la" by thinking um, yeah, that was a helluva day. And in all seriousness, damn near ANYONE would be crushing on him at this point. Rusty being Rusty, I don't hold out a huge amount of hope that he was overstating the case in that one interview, and that the "unrequited love" will turn out to be just a crush.
But as long as it fits with what I see, I'm clinging with both hands, dammit. And renewing my vow to avoid the PTB interviews. That way lies madness, every single time.

Heh. True.

Well, if he at all used the words "subtle" or "understated" to describe it, we're pretty well screwed.

No. Kidding.
I was actually pretty, no, *really* surprised he basically laid out the S3 arc between the Doctor and Martha. Wouldn't you want your viewers to take that in through the show naturally?

HA. You gave in! Um...so did I. I enjoyed it well enough. I like the idea of Martha, although I think they're overdoing the disbelief. He has two hearts! You heard them! A little skepticism goes a long way when you are currently smack in the middle of the MOON. HELLO.
The flirting? Sigh. I think their chemistry is okay, if unremarkable so far. I wish they would let her just bust his chops instead of having a thing for him. WHY? I never like unrequited love. No fair to Martha.

Heh. Yeah. For all the other smart things she kept saying, the disbelief the Doctor was an alien was pushing it.

*Exactly.* Like, to everything you said.
