I think Doctor Who's "Family of Blood" may have given me a stress headache. *pinches bridge of nose* S3: The FUBAR Series.

But...I have ice cream! WOO! I forgot I bought ice cream while getting groceries today! Way to go, past!me!

Um...I've got nothing else to say. *tries to think of something entertaining* *tap dances*

ETA: Oh. Heh. You know, I've been doing these "Episode of Glee" things for a D/R community, and I'd always planned on doing Dalek next as I alternate Nine and Ten eps. But now that it's being brought up in reference to Family of Blood, my mind instantly thinks, "but what if someone thinks I'm doing this out of spite?!!" Because fandom is weird and it's dangerous times to be a D/R shipper.

ETA2: Mwah. [livejournal.com profile] goldy_dollar's Family of Blood picspam. Grab your ice cream and vodka, people.

I think maybe we should adopt this quote in Who fandom and hurl it at each other when we get really pissed off: "Yeah? You think Rose was selfish, do you? Well, you're like the night and the storm in the heart of a sun! And you stink so badly, you burn in the center of time! Take that!"

*cracks up*

*pats* If a shipper attacks you for that, that's uncool. You have people ready to back you up if need be. *prepares*

Look at the cute. It will help, promise.

Oh, I really doubt anyone would actually say anything. But yet I twitch. :D

You really should do Dalek next if you'd planned to. Plus, dude!

"What use are emotions if you will not save the woman you love?"

"I killed her once. I can't kill her again."

"Good thing I'm not going anywhere."
"Yeah."

Dalek is so much love (Rose comparing Adam to the Doctor before engaging in her mild flirtation with him, Rose with her "I wouldn't have missed it for the world." and "What are you changing into?").

There really is so much to love about that episode, isn't there? Not to mention it's really the first episode where the Doctor's backstory comes into play.

Frankly, I think Dalek is a great parallel and provides such a wealth of D/R goodness. You should totally do that episode next. :)

It does, doesn't it? :) I think for this one, I really am going to have to sit down and watch it first before capping. I haven't watched Dalek in a looooong time.

I would love to see an "Episode of Glee" post for Dalek! There's an abundant amount of D/R stuff there to talk about.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-06-04 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Then Dalek it will be! :)

I, too, support "Dalek" for episode of glee! When little nazi like killers can see the love between your OTP, you KNOW it's special. :D

Wooo. Rec. Thank you. And I think ice cream and vodka should be general S3 requirements.

Wooo. Rec. Thank you.

Any humor in this time of S3 need is a good thing.

And I think ice cream and vodka should be general S3 requirements.

They seriously need a TV warning like that.

Buha!

See, I disagree with her about Martha being "pathetic" for loving someone who doesn't even "look at" her.

You can't control love.

Something I learned two years ago, which caused me so so much pain. I'm almost on the verge of *identifying* with Martha because of what I went through -- I loved someone dearly, and he pushed it away, thinking it was just a crush. When I finally gave up on him last year, because he did something that was inexcusable, it was the painful thing I'd ever done. I cried a lot, and even had nightmares about it, and it's taken me a very long time to get it over it.

Martha's not pathetic. For all I might have complained initially about the "unrequited love" aspect of this season... I have to admit that I kind of identify with her and understand what she's going through.

I *just* posted a meta on this subject! Wow! Timing!

And...while it's true you can't control love, I don't think they've given us enough for me to sympathize with Martha. Basically, I just want to shake her a lot.
