DW Movie question

Hey, so in the 90's DW movie, I can't quite remember what happens at the end with the Master. All I had in my review was Sweet Lord, I am watching Time Lord sex, which is just, like, so helpful. *smites self*

Can someone remind me what happened?

He tries to steal the Doctor's regenerations, and kills Grace and Chang, and then gets sucked into the "eye of harmony" in the TARDIS. I assume it's his life-energy the TARDIS uses to revive the kids.

I wonder if there's any book canon regarding the Master post-the movie. I know there's tons of Eight books and audio plays. I wonder if the Master was ever in one.

OK, I looked at The Master's Wikipedia article (just to get a quick idea) and it seems to indicate that while the Master was implied at various times in various Eighth Doctor novels, it never outright said that it was actually him.
