"Well?? Laugh!"

After seeing [livejournal.com profile] hwconundrum's post about Labyrinth (among other things), I felt the urge to get in touch with my inner Muppet...or something. Was screwing around and made a few Labyrinth icons. If for some reason anyone wants one, just let me know. :)

DAVID BOWIE!!!!!!!!

I just adored that movie and the worm was so cute *sighs*

This movie was my junior high obsession. *g*

The worm *was* cute! I have no idea why I wanted him to say "Piss off!" *snicker*

Hee, I think I was a bit younger when it came out. My sis of course watched as it was with Bowie!

Hmmm well the worm is cute but wasn't she rude too? Wow, long time I have seen it.

Yeah, I'm an old dog.

It's been a while for me too. I think the worm was just nuts.

The worm was very nice and hospitable. Also one of the few critters to whom Sarah was polite early on.

Sir Didymus. The name of my first car, a 1978 Plymouth Horizon that I bought for $400. Because it was little, and brown, and a wee bit optimistic about its capabilities (speedometer read about 7 mph faster than you were really going).

And I'm not positive, but I think he's meant to be a fox. Riding a sheepdog. I'm sure there's some cockeyed Terry Jones sort of Britishism in that.

A fox? That could be. Hard to tell with those Muppets.

It really is. I've been trying to decide which he actually is for 17 years now...

I shouldn't be amused by this, should I?

Cool icons!

Thanks! :)

You *should* be amused, apart from Arachnophobia and Final Destination, it's the only film that's ever managed to freak me out!

*snerk* Ratings boards tend not to notice when you're tapping freaky fairy-tale archetypes. Unless you're Neil Jordan and give them gobs of fake blood to clue them in.

I just feel a trifle old. I picked my senior prom dress because it reminded me of Sarah's ballgown...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-08-17 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
No! Not old. Just...okay, I've got nothing.

Hey - I saw it in the theater myself. :)

As long as I can still wear the dress...

Hey! I'm the same age! *g*

And if RDA's still walking sex at 50+, then 30s isn't old. ;D

Not if you were in junior high you're not.

Senior prom dress. Bought when movie not yet out on video. :-) 'Sokay, tho, you're forgiven.

Whippersnapper. ;->

Abso-frelling-lutely. I'm a great believer that age is irrelevant in any case. But even that aside, I definitely don't really think I'm old, or expect to for a LONG time.

Not that I've had occasion to. They considered it when I did R&H's Cinderella a while back, but it didn't fit with the rest of the costumes.

I should really do a better scan one of these days.

Spotted from across the mall on a different level. $225 in 1986. My ostensible limit was $80. My daddy is a soft touch. {chuckles} I did have to come up with...I think it was $80 of my own. But I never in a million years thought I'd actually get it. Mom and I called him at work from the mall.

I actually did a recreation of Sarah's dress last year, for someone else's prom. Nifty full circle there. Even if she never did send me senior pictures after I stepped up the schedule to get it to her in time for them. ;-) As my band teacher used to say, "You get to be a senior and your brain dies." There are a few too many things on a person's plate that year.
