Here come the drums...

  • Doctor: The Master and WIFE?? O_O (Bwahahahahaha! But who's Lucy? She looks familiar.)

  • Martha: Thought you and the Master might have been secret brothers or something. Doctor: You've been watching too much TV. *LOVES*

  • Holy buckets of backstory, Batman!!! Academy at 8! Initiation with the Vortex! Time Lord robes! (bwahahahahaha!) Okay, but the Master went mad and the Doctor ran away. Interesting. People will meta on that point alone for YEARS. But that *totally* fits the Doctor getting hives just being near Gallifrey. Well, that and the fact that Time Lords are dicks.

  • Jack finally admits he works for Torchwood. The Doctor's pissed, but it quickly passes.

  • Doctor: It's like when you fancy someone and they don't know you exist. *runs off* Jack to Martha: You too, huh?

Awww. I keep kinda wondering if Martha's gonna jump ship in the finale. Her family is *messed up* because of traveling with the Doctor. And then she meets Jack who she finds out the Doctor just ditched and never looked back - a person who had that same love for the Doctor. Yeah, either jump ship at the end, or come to this epiphany of knowing all this – that she could get ditched, that her family could be compromised, the world could burn, and she'll still travel with the Doctor. She's just *really* gonna need to get to that place of being okay with the Doctor not being in love with her.

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhh. So Saxon's been around since the time of Rose, right? Remember how in Love & Monsters they had files on the Doctor, but for some reason the files on his companion were wiped out by the Bad Wolf Virus? Me thinks Vortex!Rose was trying to protect her family.

  • Heh. UNIT.

  • Oh, the Doctor wants to save the Master. Why do I think that this is just NOT going to end well?

  • Oh *SOB* The cloister bell on the TARDIS is ringing and ringing! Okay, seriously. I was sniffling. The TARDIS is in pain!

  • The Master with jelly babies. Heh.

  • Ball things: Is the machine singing? (WHY does this sound familiar? Something singing? OH! Huh. I think I'm thinking of the Gelth. They sang to Gwen.)

  • Ha! The music! *boogies* Night-club TARDIS! AWESOME. Yes, and now I must have this song. :D

  • Why exactly did Martha hop to the planet? (Oh God. I'm not allowed to make a "to update her myspace" joke am I? :-x)

  • Preview: Commando!Martha! See, *this* is the Martha I wanted for this whole series. Bring on commando!Martha!! Bring on the finale!

Time Lord robes! (bwahahahahaha!)

I had a bit of a laugh over them too, although they looked slightly more stylish that I remember them in old episodes, maybe it was the lighting. Also, I can't shake the feeling that we're getting all this Gallifrey viewing as a lead up to the return of the Time Lords, which I don't want and don't think the series is ready for.

Jack finally admits he works for Torchwood. The Doctor's pissed, but it quickly passes.

Well, he quickly gets back to business, I'm not convinced he got over it. He seemed to accept Jack's "I did it for you," (and how much do I wish it had been "I did it for you...and her."), but he's not forgotten the way he sees Torchwood.

Doctor: It's like when you fancy someone and they don't know you exist. *runs off* Jack to Martha: You too, huh?I keep kinda wondering if Martha's gonna jump ship in the finale.

I can certainly see that happening after this episode. Pretty much everything that will change the way she looks at traveling with the Doctor even if she stays all hit at once, her family's in trouble, he leaves people behind, he doesn't fall in love with companions as a rule, it's Dangerous (with a capital D) to be with him. However this does make me feel somewhat more confident that if she stays next season (not that I want her to), we'll at least see the end of the unrequited love story.

Oh, the Doctor wants to save the Master. Why do I think that this is just NOT going to end well?

Because it obviously won't? He tried with the Dalek and that bit him in the ass. However the phone talk between the Doctor and the Master was probably my favorite part of the episode so I hope we see more of that in times to come.

The Master with jelly babies. Heh.

That cracked me up, they're really hitting the Master = Evil!Doctor angle.

Why exactly did Martha hop to the planet? (Oh God. I'm not allowed to make a "to update her myspace" joke am I? :-x)

Oh gods, she's going to isn't she? And really, even if Jack wouldn't leave the Doctor, he should have sent her to meet up with the TW gang in the Himalayas. Because really, what resources does Martha have on Earth right now?

They looked prettied up a bit. :D

Oh, that would be interesting.

Very true.

Yeah, that whole aspect to it is definitely coming to a head, it would seem.

That was awesome. There was just a whole LOT of awesome in this episode, though.

Because really, what resources does Martha have on Earth right now?

A handful of interns at the hospital?

ITA. I'm very much a "what's dead should stay dead" kind of person (unless it's zombies, which are made of WIN). Hell, I'm still a little pissed they brought back the Master. If I wanted stories like that I'd still be watching General Hospital. It took guts to kill off all the Time Lords, and led to a freaking awesome character arc for the Doctor. To renege on that storyline now would be just... cowardly, if that makes any sense.

*wanders off muttering like a grumpy old man*

ZOMBIE TIME LORDS!!!!

YES! I can deal with the Time Lords returning as zombies. As long as they eat braaaiins and shuffle around like traditional zombie hordes. None of this newfangled speedy!zombie-who-doesn't-even-want-your-brains crap. *sigh*

(But not the Doctor. I don't wanna see zombie!Doctor. Squick)
