Red Dwarf

I've become addicted to Netflix's online viewing. It's a lot of older stuff, but they've got some TV shows on there like Red Dwarf. Watched the first two seasons over the last few of days. Mwah. I don't think I've watched these episodes since high school/college. The parents never had cable, and so it was PBS for us. At least, I think it was PBS. Can't imagine a commercial station would have run that since commercial stations firmly believe Americans could not possibly understand an accent and so must completely remake things, just so that they'll have the correct accent, meanwhile stripping the show of absolutely everything that made it good in the first place... *AHEM* (They were probably two seconds away of giving the eighth Doctor role to Joe Estevez, weren't they? I guess he was too busy making Blood Slaves of the Vampire Wolf and Rollergator.)

But anyway, I'd forgotten things like the mpreg on Red Dwarf. Or Lister sleeping with the parallel universe version of himself. *SNORTS*

Yeah, Red Dwarf is great, I should see about watching it again at some point...

And yeah, definitely PBS, that's where I fell in love with it.

Does not surprise me in the least. Never saw the American version, but from what I understand, it was a train wreck.
