REALLY addictive! And just so good! I saw many people talking about how good it was on my flist, and it was like, "Yeah yeah. 'Bestest show ever.' Think I've heard that about every show out there." But...it is!
Oooh, box sets. Hmmm. I might think about that for myself - I have the feeling I'll want to watch this all again.
Oh, just you wait. *g* You haven't seen anything yet. Of all the characters, Pullo and Octavian drew me in the most. I don't want to spoil you, but the writing on that show was the most brilliant character arcing I've ever seen.
Very, very wise on your part. I'm dying to get the S2 box set, but I'm trying to avoid spending like a crazy woman, so it'll have to wait for now. They are, however, worth every penny.
I *loved* Rome. It was a little slow to start, but I got sucked in - it's the history geek in me, really. And despite several of the made-up bits, they kept it so close to what we know of the history of that time, and gave us such interesting characters, that I was rather upset when it ended after 2.
It's so vicious, so bloody, so brutal, and so utterly brilliant. I wish we had more.

You know, and the brilliant acting and stuff. But mostly TEH SEX. Because I am shallow like that.
