  • I thought about trying to watch the rest of the classic Who episodes I haven't watched yet, all before the CiN special airs in November. (It's good to have goals.) But it would average to having to watch about 5 episodes a week to accomplish that. Not sure I have that kind of stamina. Maybe I'll have the goal of finishing up all the Five episodes. There are only 6 Five episodes I haven't watched yet. Much more manageable. :D

  • I've decided that there are several slightly different, but overlapping realities that we all live in. For example, the two people having a conversation in the street probably were on the sidewalk from their perspective.

  • I've taken to Servillia-type curses at slow-moving trucks in general, and also non-semi-truck drivers who think they need to swing wide when taking a turn, causing everyone behind them to slam on their brakes as they overlap another lane. This is normal, right?

  • Today I am in one of those "everything I'm writing SUCKS and it's all pure and utter crap" moods. I'm pretty sure just about everyone who writes fic has these moods. (At least I'll pretend that everyone else has these moods.) And I'm back to wanting (1) someone else to write the plot for my half-dead Inertia sequel or (2) ... No, I think I just really want someone else to write it. :D

I must have missed something.

You missed me witnessing two people having a conversation in the middle of the street today. Just kinda hanging out and talking. That's when I came up with my overlapping realities theory.

I have those moods ALL the time. In fact, I think I pretty much spent the entire summer in one of those moods. Things today are working for me, though, so your writer's block is probably my fault. *toes ground*

Awwwww.

Things today are working for me, though, so your writer's block is probably my fault. *toes ground*

It probably IS! (And probably because my muse is having too much fun with the silly crack-type stuff, and doesn't want to go back.) I swear I'm having the strangest fic cravings, as well as plot bunnies...

The hypervodka probably wasn't a good idea. It *was* a party, after all, but she was sure to have a wicked hangover tomorrow. The Doctor wasn't any better. At least...she suspected he was drunk because he was currently licking her nose, and he normally didn't do that. It kinda tickled.

Heh! Heh! I love drunk!Doctor/Rose.

Maybe you just don't have much of a Nine muse? Going back to that early stage in the relationship is a lot of work, especially if you want to write about licking and such. :D

Maybe I don't have a S1 muse at the moment. :-\ S2 staged a drunken pirate raid and ran off with it.

You know, if I were any good at a) writing or b) coming up with a plot, I'd so come up with the Inertia plot and let you handle the characterization & dialog stuff. Sadly, neither is true.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-08-22 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That? Would rock a whole lot.

[identity profile] beck-liz.livejournal.com 2007-08-22 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I still have no idea what a good plot would be, but maybe if we IM'd some night and brainstormed a bunch? Not tonight, as it's a work night and I'm exhausted, but like a Friday or Saturday (when I can sleep in the next day)? I can make sure to be hyped up on caffeine and stuff. :-)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-08-22 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That could be cool. I still have the character subplots - the main one being the one that revolves around Martha - I just need something to lay it all on top of. Some Scooby-Doo-meets-sci-fi mystery.

I totally have those moods about my writing, and the last time it happened a few months ago I managed to shove myself right into a slump. :(

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-08-22 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
They suck, don't they? The worst part is that while you're being "WOE" about it, you *know* you're being "WOE" about it.

[identity profile] pixiesio.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and then hate yourself for being so "WOE" 'cause you know it's silly. ;P

Blog-quotable worthy.

Today I am in one of those "everything I'm writing SUCKS and it's all pure and utter crap" moods. I'm pretty sure just about everyone who writes fic has these moods.

It's a writing hangover, I'm sure. Which is why I hate going back to edit fic, because I always hate its badly written guts the morning after.

And I'm back to wanting (1) someone else to write the plot for my half-dead Inertia sequel or (2) ... No, I think I just really want someone else to write it. :D

*backs away* I'm having enough trouble with getting my "Topologica" straight, thanks. XD Though you're welcome to help yourself to any of my plot bunnies. (At least then I know they'll go to a well written and cracktastic enjoyable home.)

*snickers* I totally can relate. :D

Heh heh. You know, if I had more energy, I'd think of making a fic-bunny dumping ground community for D/R stuff. Or maybe even all fandom stuff.

I'd certainly appreciate it- I have more D/R and gen plunnies than I possibly have the time for (school will be a chronivore once it rolls around in...3 days). And you know *someone* out there will be suffering from writer's block.

However: time, energy, and social life I have sacrificed for IB. Though I do now have to think about volunteering/creativity hours. Hmm.

Aww, good luck with the writing!
