TV
I suppose I should start paying attention to TV again, now that it's fall.
Lost - When's that starting up? You know, I can't for the life of me remember what happened in the finale... Oh wait. Now I remember. Heh. (ETA: You know, I think I might still be watching Lost simply so I can bitch about Jack. :D)
BSG - 2008, right? Asshats.
Project Runway - October, yes?
Doctor Who - Christmas. \o/ (Dear Santa: I would like a giant mound of crack in my stocking...)
I think I need some new shows. I was sorta interested in checking out the Bionic Woman, but after reading about the retooling it already went through... Hmm.
New shows. NEW. Don't even bother trying to get me to watch Heroes, because I refuse.

As far as the full season of BSG goes, the rumor is that Sci-Fi is pondering splitting BSG Season 4 into two separate seasons and playing the second half as "Season 5" sometime in 2009. *shakes fist at Sci-Fi* I do hope they realize this is an incredibly stupid thing to do and decide not to.

*snerk* Don't worry. You sound like me and how I feel about Friday Night Lights.
I don't really know enough about any of the new shows to really decide whether I'll watch any of them. I figure I'll do what I always do and follow the recommendations of my flist after the shows have started airing.

Oh yeah. Saw something about that, but have kind of ignored it. I think like you, I'm just really not interested in the Pegasus crew. It might be good, but my interest just isn't there.

Ohhhh...I think I remember seeing something about that on my flist. Kind of making it more UK-style in the number of episodes a season.

Mwah. You see it pimped one too many times and it's, "That's it. I am never ever watching that show. SERIOUSLY."

Yeah, I might watch the flist on the new shows. Most networks have it where you can catch up on a show online for free nowadays anyway. I'd watch Lost in chunks on ABC's site last year.

May I ask why you refuse to watch Heroes? I was hesitant too, but the lure of CE on American telly got me intrigued and now I'm pro-Heroes (and the wrongness that is the sizzling-hot chemistry of Peter and Claire. They are not related! No! LA LA LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU).
There are two new shows that I am planning to watch. That's it. And it's purely due to who the male leads are. Everything else is stuff I already watch. DwtS-9/24! (Yes, I have all the premiere dates of all my shows written down in my planner. Hi, I'm Sara and I'm addicted to television.)

Man, what is with all the delayed starts this year?
Often in my episode review of Lost, it will either start or finish with "Jack is a complete ass." :D

1) The superhero concept has never overly appealed to me. 2) I saw it pimped one too many times - it gets to the point where I get very contrary when it starts to sound like "you must..." 3) I watched about 10 minutes in the middle of an episode once - with CE, just to check him out - and didn't really feel motivated to watch more.

DwtS? OH! Dance with the Stars! (I only know the title because you've talked about it.) *pinches your cheeks*

No, they are NOT related. *sticks fingers in ears and LA LAs with you*

I'm looking forward to Bones starting up again. And I've recently been introduced to Supernatural, which is cheesy goodness.
Jack is a sanctimonious prick, and I can't STAND him. Or Kate, for that matter.
no subject
And I'm not a Kate fan either. The kicker is, they've set up this Kate-Jack-Sawyer triangle as THE big love thing on the show, and I could care less about the characters. Well, Sawyer's kinda fun.

I've recently tried the Heroes-flavored Kool-Aid and am now eagerly anticipating the new season.
Let's see, that leaves House, No Reservations (what's left of the current season), and Survivor (because of my husband). My scheduled is looking full.
There was some new show I thought I might watch because of one of the cast. It was about vampires, I think. Know anything?
no subject
I really do prefer it that way as well. Man, there's just not going to be any shows left to watch this fall!
I'm not a huge Jack fan either, but he's fun to make fun of.
I think because he's got this whole arrogant thing going.
I think I only keep watching the show for Sawyer. And Sayid, if they would do anything cool with him.
They *really* need to up Sayid's role.

I think I remember seeing a vampire show on the slate, but you got me what it's called.

I'll definitely be watching America's Next Top Model and Dancing with the Stars, for my reality TV fix. And I will insist, till the day I die, that I'll only be watching Gossip Girl because of work. No, really. ;-)
Otherwise, I'm not sure. I need to get the TV Guide fall preview/returning shows issues, so I can start figuring out what I want to watch. I'm kinda excited, for the first time in a long time, for the fall season!
And I tried to watch the first episode of Heroes and was just really confused and frustrated with it. Then I watched the CE eps, and I was still confused, but at least I had CE. So, yeah, very large with the not-caring about Heroes.

I haven't noticed any *new* shows that caught my eyes but I'm intending to pick up "Brothers and Sisters" since the first season episodes were conveniently online for watching, and maybe "Ugly Betty" which I've only seen a couple of the online episodes, but it seems cute and fun. I also watch Friday Night Lights (and would seriously recommend it), Scrubs (which I think you already watch), and well, Heroes which you don't want to here about. BSG not until 2008 (blah).
DW and it's various spinoffs with their funky scheduling. And a couple other things that much be gotten though alternate means...

Yeah. It gets to the point of where you actively Do Not Want about a show. :D

You're not the only one. To which I always say, "but...FOOTBALL."
Scrubs (which I think you already watch),
I do, but I missed a lot of last season - I kept forgetting it was on. Which just means marathon time when it comes out on DVD.

Did the Sarah Jane Adventures seriously fall into a black hole after K-9 or something? Not that I was *so* terribly wild about it. And I might catch the Martha episodes of Torchwood, just because Martha interests me post-Doctor.

impatiently*I refuse to watch Heroes too. I'm sort of done with that show. (Though David Anders...) So what's the betting that my new roommate will be a huge fan of that show and have to watch it?
Pushing Daisies not only looks good, but I hear the creators are fans of Doctor Who. It seems like that sort of innocent wonder that you don't get a lot on American television. What other new shows are you thinking of watching?

Hmmm. Think I'll be paying attention to what the flist says about it.

I didn't really have anything on my list. I've seen a few on the fall line-up, but nothing has really grabbed me.

Heroes- I got sucked in for CE, hope he comes back and the new Heroes Kristen Bell and David Andres. I know KB from Veronica Mars which was sadly cancelled. David Andres from Alias which series ended in 2006.
Chuck looks interesting.
Project Runaway is my guilty pleasure. I purely watch it for Tim Gunn.
I lost my faith on Lost. I dont bother with it.
Grey's Anatomy
Moonlighting- it looks like something I could get into but we will see.
Just for laughing and stuff Viva Laughing...

I'm not really sure *why* I keep watching Lost. I know when all the secrets are revealed, it will be completely cheesetastic. I really think I might be sticking around for the Jack mocking.

Doctor Who (Obviously.)
BSG
The Office
Heroes
Project Runway (Tim Gunn is ♥)
Pushing Daisies (Please don't be canceled.)
Gossip Girl (Because I need to fill that cheesy teen drama void in my life)
Moonlighting looks like a not as good version of Angel, but with Logan from VM as a vampire and Sophia Myles as a woman who meets an immortal man in her youth and ends up falling for him when she's older. Hmm, that sounds vaguely familiar...
The way you feel about Heroes is the way I feel about Friday Night Lights and Supernatural. Everyone I know is constantly raving about those shows while I'm over here all "Do. Not .Want."

I'm not into those two either. Mwah.

Aside from that I'll try and catch House (hopefully it'll be better than last season). I can't wait for Project Runway to come back! I'll probably check out Tim Gunn's Guide to Style on Bravo on Thursdays, since it is Tim Gunn. ^_^ Oh and yes I'm waiting for Heroes to come back as well. I just hope that this season is as good as its first. It would be a shame for it not to be.
New shows that I'm looking forward to seeing are Pushing Daisies, Back to You and not really sure after that.
What I end up doing most of the time is watching something here or there and catching up on shows that I've heard are actually good. At the moment I'm trying to catch up on this show called "My Boys" looks interesting and the website allows me to watch all of the episodes online. ;D

I'm really kind of behind on television watching in general, but I second Life on Mars. British TV cracks me up. *g*

Also--try giving Life on Mars a chance. I haven't finished watching it yet because it is one of those shows where you watch an episode and have to let it process---but omgitssogoodandican'tbelievetheamericansaregoingtokillitliketheydidwithvivablackpool.

The whole Americanization of shows is just so completely lame. Bah.
