I'm using a program called Ulead GIF Animator 5. It lets me position the animation in a specific fixed spot. :)

HA! Boy, I really *do* have icons on the brain! :)

As far as keeping the pic stationary, it's an option in Boxer's customizations. What I did was under the "background" tab, changed the options from "repeat" to "don't repeat" and from "scroll" to "fixed."
