Okay, if you just sent me an email, you really don't need to walk out of your office to inform me that you sent said email and stand there and tell me its contents. Really really.

Also, am now a *serial* babyfic writer. Um... Where did I go wrong?

ETA: You know, Google Docs is rather amusing. Its downsides are no spellcheck (why is this? email has it.) and it likes to do that annoying html line break thing, so if you cut and paste in or out of it, it does strange things. I hate that html page formatting. The one they try to foist on you with your email by giving you smilies and colors to go with it. It's to get you to accept the page breaks without question in some sort of plot...

ANYWAY! What's amusing about Google Docs is that you can see everyone who's looking at your document right at that second, i.e., your betas for your fic. Well, it's amusing to me. For some reason.

We're lazy enough in my office that instead of getting up somone will buzz the other person over the intercom...so sad.

We *have* intercoms, but they never get used. We use the yell method. :D

We did untill we moved offices. Now we're too big (and we're LOUD people.) We still yell when we can. Sadly enough I work in a law firm...

I've had people do that! My previous manager would send me something, then print it out and bring it to my desk. While I'm reading the message, you know, on my computer.

I think people sometimes forget the point of email.

i love google docs. i like how i can access it anywhere, and dl my stuff in ten thousand diff formats and how it saves automatically.

i dont have open office in this pc so it kinda saves my life

It's really really handy for fic betaing, I'm finding. You don't need to send Word documents back and forth or anything. And really helps if you've got more than one person looking at the fic, as well as being sure they're looking at the latest version.

My google docs has spellcheck. I have my browser set to spellcheck as I type, but at the end of the google doc it has a check spelling button that highlights all the words it doesn't like.
