I'm currently inhaling paint fumes. Unwillingly, that is.
JB has said in an interview that Jack's back in S4!! \o/
I was looking forward to seeing Jack in S3, but was not expecting the level of fab chemistry between the characters of Jack and Ten. It was AWESOME. I would have been *completely* happy if S4 had been all Ten and Jack.
Actually, this to me has made me the most excited about S4 than about anything else that's been confirmed for this series. I'll probably get shot, but the character of Donna is going to need to win me over in S4. Honestly, I wasn't overly wild about her in TRB. She kinda annoyed me. But I'm willing to give her a few episodes, and hopefully they'll tone her down a bit so she's not so cartoony. Don't know if I could handle two ultra-hyper-animated characters at the same time.

I'm not sure that counts, though, since it kind of feels like Sarah Jane was stuck on as an afterthought: "In the S4 finale: Jack, Martha, Donna, the Tyler family, David Tennant's pet goldfish, the gum on the bottom of my sneaker, and Sarah Jane will meet up and save the planet!"

When she calmed down near the end, though, I thought the dynamic between her and the Doctor was very nice. So count me as optimistic.

Oh, this SO made my day. (Considering most of my day has been spent grocery shopping, bill paying, and cleaning, I'd say it's not much of a stretch to improve it, but still this is the best way to make it.... *cough*)

I was so not expecting that news, that has totally made my day, I'm even considering calling my non fandom Doctor Who watching friends and telling them the news because the SQUEE must be shared. Yay Jack, more billowing coats running down corridors action. As much as I'm good with Donna (mostly in the not-Martha sense I admit) this totally eclipses that.

Oh, no, you’re definitely not the only one thinking it. It’ll be hard for them to bring Jack back without at least mentioning Rose. After all, Donna doesn’t know he’s immortal, much less how he got that way. I like how you put it a couple of weeks ago—“Jack is a big flashing neon sign on the universe saying ‘Rose was here.’”
(Another possibility: Rose Comes Back and Saves Her Boys—Again. <g>)

Weren't they great together? I think my favorite episode of the whole series was Utopia, just because of them. "Stop it." "You're supposed to say you're sorry." MWAH. Seriously could never get enough of their banter.

I wouldn't worry too much about Donna; by the end of TRB she was much more sedate, and I thought even rather compassionate, with the way she asked the Doctor--gently--about Rose. I think she'll be fabulous at taking the Doctor down a peg or two.
And Donna and Jack together? Can. Not. Wait.
