Meep.

Reaction to the first quarter of the show:

Oh my God.

OH. MY. GOD.

*CRINGES IN HORROR*

OMGOMGOMG.

*RESISTS URGE TO CHANGE CHANNEL*

OMG. MAKE IT STOP.

SOMEONE MAKE IT STOP. NOW.

*POUTS*

*CRIES*

OMG.

What did the winning outfit look like? What did the losing outfit look like? I barely remember. I was too busy trying to repair the hole I'd burrowed into my couch the second that Sarah Jessica Parker came through the door.

People started crying.

CRYING.

From like joy or something. My embarrassment squick went through the roof on this episode. Reason number 5,381 I could never be a celebrity: I'd need to go find a hole to camp out in the first time someone came up to me with an "OMG, I LOVE YOU! *WEEPS*" A really, really big hole.

Or a pillow fort.

OMG.

Makes me glad I came in around the middle, now...

Have you noticed how most of the time that Ricky guy(lingerie guy, I believe) is on camera, he's crying, or about to cry? I keep thinking 'dude, get a grip.'

And...from all the preview commercials, I thought I'd hate Christian...but I find I actually like him. Maybe not that blue horror he sent down the runway in this ep, but it's like he keeps the crazy in his clothes( well, and in his hair) and not constantly spewing from his mouth. Does that make sense?

I haven't gotten all their names down yet, but there is one guy who gets *really* emotional all the time. Oy.

He's entertaining, although I'm not sure I have a favorite yet. Possibly Sweet P just because she was the voice of reason in Elisa-land. And Elisa continues to bother me greatly -- although not as much in this episode -- just because it doesn't seem like she actually knows how to sew.

Oh, I wouldn't say that I have a favorite, either. I was just pleasantly surprised that I don't hate him like I thought I would.

Elisa bothers me too--less for the technical things(b/c I think I came in too late to catch whatever must have been in this episode concerning sewing stuff) and more for the random crap she says. Polymorphous? That's just BS, straight up, and not even very *good* BS.

I think what put him on my good side was back during the first episode when he was really weirded out by Elisa. HA!

I honestly feel bad for celebrities at times like those. THere's a big difference between someone giving you a compliment on your work, and someone fucking losing their equilibrium over you. And it must be SO CREEPY for them.

Luckily the worst I've ever done is get a serious case of Mute Syndrome around someone pseudo-famous that I'm impressed by. But that's just more of my natural shyness than wanting to jump them.

YES! I just... *SHUDDERS*

Awwwww. I met a couple of celebs back in the studio intern days, and I don't think I creeped them out. Hopefully.

I just remind myself that this is just their job. And as much as it amuses me when people compliment me repeatedly for finding a book for them at the library, it's a million times worse for celebrities dealing with fangirls. And that's a small dose of perspective.

Well, luckily the biggest celebrity I've met is my favourite NHL player of all time (and he's actually widely regarded as the best American born player ever), which is why I said pseudo-celebrity. And I actually managed to amuse him because they made a big deal out of moving the lines along quickly and only getting one thing signed...and my brother was trying to TALK to the player next to him, and I very meekly asked if I could get a picture and of course he said yes and then I kept whisper-screaming for my brother with the camera to pay attention. Which got my a chuckle. But mostly I just got all silent. *sighs*

And erm, the top two were Elisa and the one that won (Elisa did a poncho and a surprisingly pretty dress), and the bottom two were Christian and his 80s outfit and of course the one eliminated.

Sidetracking a bit - on the show they kept calling it this 80s style outfit, but was it really? Odd and severe, yeah. Maybe it was the colors.

Hmmm, I can certainly see how someone's mind might jump to 80s. It wasn't my IMMEDIATE thought or anything.

I think it was the turtleneck dress, with the BIG belt, and hen the jacket with the strange sleeves. The silhouette + the colors made it kind of 80s. But mostly it was just terribly unflattering. I mean, the MODEL looked chubby.

Yeah, probably.

You're right - it just didn't look good. Who exactly would want to wear that?

Somoene in a Robert Palmer video? For some reason it brought to mind Addicted to Love. I could just imagine an 80s business woman tapping her foot to it at work.

LOL Yeah the crying was just a tad bit overboard for me.

I can't remember the winning and losing design at the moment but I'm sure next week's one minute recap should do.

I had a very big urge to go around slapping people.

Ah. I looked it up on their website. The winner was that smock-dress thing and the loser had that rag dress thing.

[identity profile] jupisan.livejournal.com 2007-11-25 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously Ricky, just for god sake's stop the crying. Jeez. he cried last time. just stop it.
Elisa I still like her. Cristian man he annoyed me.
The winning look was okay but Elisa and Sweet P should have won.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2007-11-25 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I liked the cape that Elisa and Sweet P did, but hated the color of the dress. Blech. (I know so little about cuts and styles that a lot of times it's about color for me. :D)
