They killed off Marian?? As in killed killed? Really dead?

Well, between the Robin/Marian shippers and the Guy/Marian shippers, they probably just got rid of half their fan base. o_O

THe Robin/Guy shippers will be wetting themselves with happiness. They will find a way around the fact that Guy actually killed Marian and set them up with some Marian angst so they can bond.

I have no idea if it's that, or if they're pulling some sort of cheap "all a dream" stunt or something. Have no idea how they expect to keep the show going without that character.

Hey there, I've worked out that it could easily all be Allan's dream because early in the episode he was sitting in bed staring off into the middle distance and well, he could have fallen asleep right? And that would explain why he was welcomed back so easily and all the characterization issues in the second half, right?

Sure it'd be cheap, but I have some serious issues with this story.

It really isn't the good kind of shocking. Yes when I was making my list of characters who could die I had to admit the show could probably survive without Marion but I didn't think they'd actually go there.

I watched it with friends who are fans (I've not really got into is so far) and they were both sobbing. And we were texting driftingatdusk for hours after. As an impartial viewer it seemed a bloody stupid thing to do! Robin and Marion are part of legend, you can't have one without the other. WTF??

I'm not even *that* overly into the show myself (in spite of trying to keep up with it) and I definitely don't ship anyone, and I'm sitting here thinking they just did a very big no-no.

It was rather shocking, but I kind of saw it coming, especially when Marion starts saying over and over to Guy in this gleeful tone that she loves Robin. Unfortunately, she set herself up to die there. :(
