I'm home sick today, and so I've been watching Torchwood. Am probably going to have to stop soon due to the headache.
Random Shoes
I almost skipped this one since it I knew it was a more "Love & Monsters" type episode. ("Love & Monsters" was decent for what it was - but beyond getting some Jackie insight, I don't have a lot of use for it.) But this one had the mystery of the shoes going through it, which was enough to keep me interested. I would love to find out someday that Gwen is somehow connected/related to Gweneth (from "The Unquiet Dead") and that's how Eugene was able to communicate with her.
The inner-dialog narrative was interesting for an episode, but glad it was just for an episode. The ending was a bit hokey though. They had an actual "scientific" (I can't type that with a straight face) reason for Eugene to still be around after his death, but they wound up ignoring the reason so that he could save Gwen and have this light-filled departure. *makes frowny face* I would have preferred that they'd stuck to it completely being tied to the eye being in his body, thanks.
Out of Time
*stares*
That was pretty much a complete waste. I fast forwarded a few times not out of revulsion (Countrycide) but out of boredom. By the end, I wound up with tiny, and I mean tiny, insights about Jack and Owen, but it was not worth a near hour of bland dialog and uninteresting stories.
I'm just...ARG! Even Cyberwoman I had fun watching because of the cheesetasticness, but this was...so so so so so so so so so so so so so BORING. Which for some reason is enraging me at the moment. Grr. I think I need juice.
