Get into me FASTER, coffee!! *sucks* At least it's Friday. But I'm heading into a semi-busy weekend - seeing a play tomorrow and doing parent birthday brunch on Sunday. (Rabid fangeek moment - my mom's name is Jackie and her birthday is today. For real. And if you immediately know this reference, you too are a fangeek.)
I didn't think it was possible to raise any more questions with this show, but they completely managed it last night. I still think this whole flash-forward thing they started doing in the finale is pretty slick. In past seasons we got everyone's stories through the flashbacks, but we've seen most everyone now. Where the flashbacks revealed things, the flash-forwards seem to be just raising more questions.
There was no big gasp moment at the end of this episode, but something that was pretty shocking to me was Hurley saying (in the future) that he should have gone with Jack. Which could imply that Charlie was wrong or maybe that Locke is just NUTS. Wonder if we'll be seeing more ghostly visits from Charlie. Oh, hang on a second...
YOU KILLED THE HOBBIT, YOU BASTARDS!!
Okay, back. Also, we know that only 6 people made it off the island, and we only know about Jack, Kate and Hurley yet. (Who everyone's now decided to call Hugo - I guess after the bet with Sawyer - it's weirding me out.)
And speaking of weirding me out - JACOB. OMG. I had to put the TV on mute a couple of times from being seriously freaked out. :D
I could waste a lot of time here:

But it's really weird about people staying there and no one's going back for them. And it seems they're keeping it a secret. WEIRD.

Yeah, the whole thing is just weird. There's just more questions. It's so AGGRAVATING.

*cough* I don't even watch the show anymore, and haven't for a couple of years. Still. Charlie. *sniff*

Actually, no. My mom's also blonde (but naturally blonde), but that's where the similarities end.

Aww, they did?? That sucks. I think that I maybe saw all of S1, but I lost interest when it became clear that they were never going to show the big monster only Locke saw.

They finally did show the monster that Locke saw (it was this sort of cloud entity thing), but I still want to know what exactly it is!

*torn*
But I was also a little turned off how the "desert island" thing turned out to be less than desert...
Hey, did they explain the polar bear?
no subject
As far as the polar bear... Yeah, it's been pretty much explained. The island used to be a research station, where all sorts of different experiments had been going on - genetics, physics, even some psychological ones. Basically a big science-type place. And they had a polar bear or four.

Huh. That feels anti-climactic. Though I'm not sure what I was expecting. Alien polar bears! Polar bears invading!

While I'm so sad that Charlie is dead, his death scene moved me so much...it just broke my heart. =(

And I really hope they keep doing the flashforwards. I'm really liking them.

It'd be like the X-files all over again, since I stopped watching that before the last two seasons. I don't want to watch it, but I'd still like to have seen what (didn't) happen.

Although nothing will compare to the first season. Ever.
