I feel like striking a pose, cape fluttering right now. Have averted work-related disaster by handling something personally. This icon doesn't really relate, but the picture is my mood at the moment.

I deserve a latte!

I generally don't get these kinds of "I totally kicked butt!" moments. *boogies* :)

You know, I really will have nothing to do for the next month or so if I keep this up.

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
And how about the newsletter? How the hell are we supposed to avoid spoilers doing that?

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
*passes the alcoholic frappucino*

I'm debating whether to make myself stay away from spoilers, but then how will I know the difference between what I already know and if something is new. Because if I avoid all discussion of S4, my head might just pop off and roll down the hill. But if I keep seeing fake spoilers, I'm going to go nuts. ACK!

*DW fandom!existential crisis*

I know! We really need some sort of color-coded system or something.

- new spoilers
- old spoilers but I still feel like flailing about them
- wild speculation based on new spoilers
- wild speculation based on old spoilers
- wild speculation based on absolutely nothing
- timebabies

- I just decided to freak all you Who fans out! Hahahahaha, aren't you silly!
- Angst-o-rama
- OMG someone's dying!
- Regeneration!

Grrrrr.

I am so making icons. And perhaps one of those terror-level alert thingies.

HA!

You know, I'm totally not bothered by "such-and-such actor" is in episode 46. Whatever. Who cares. What does get me is when you get articles (or fans) speculating on what exactly said actor is going to be doing. And blowing it completely out of proportion. That's when it's time to run screaming in the opposite direction, you know?

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Same here. That's why I'm so torn on going "spoiler free" because not only could I miss great discussions about spoilers I already know about, but generally, most stuff doesn't make me flail until fandom starts twisting it around and you don't know fact from fiction.

[identity profile] beck-liz.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Or when people start taking one line or one brief scene out of context. In context? Whatever-it-is is no big deal. Out of context? OMG IT'S THE END OF EVERYTHING!!!!!
