Disneyland babble
I actually got a separate Thank You note for renewing my Disneyland annual passport this year. *wonders if they're concerned about people's disposable income this year*
(And this is probably where
diavestra will come in and tell me she gets a thank you note every year because she's just that special.)
I got my AP magazine and was thumbing through.
The new monorails are coming - or probably already there. I'll have to check them out.
They've added sparkling wines to the tasting bar in DCA. I'm not really big on sparkling wines, but that does sound appealing to have there. Too much wine and I'm either ready for a nap or am busily counting boobs, and sparkling wine's not as easy to down. :D (Besides, there have to be some good ones out there, right? This requires taste testing.)
Create your own Ear Hat. Custom Ear Hat? I'm intrigued. Please tell me more. (Although no Ear Hat will ever come close to the one I have with "July 17, 2005" embroidered on the back. Yes, I was one of those nutters who went that day.)

- They keep pimping their new Dream Suite, which is what they made out of the Disney Gallery over Pirates of the Caribbean. HMPH. This thing has absolutely NO appeal to me, and I'm still a bit miffed they demo-ed the Gallery. Okay, so it wasn't ever that busy, but I always loved looking at the art and special displays they had in there. And this new Dream Suite? Exactly how many people does this affect? Considering that you really can only win a stay at this place? 99.999999% of people will never see the inside of this place, and they want me to get excited about it?
I'm not a stereotypical AP-er. I don't generally whine if something's not painted right or that the color of the new Tigger costume will seriously burn out your retinas (even though it will), but this? PFFFFFT! How about spending the money on something most people will see? - They gave some details on how they're going to fix DCA. Heh. I actually don't mind DCA too much. It's mellow due to lack of people, and you can sit around and drink wine. (And Soarin' Over California is a Must Hit every time I go. I'm pretty sure I discover my bliss on that ride every time.) Of course, they probably need to make money on it and all, so they really have to do something.
- The main entryway plaza will become "Walt's California": 1920's themed to imagine what it was like when Walt arrived in CA. 20s could be cool. And it's almost cute how they're trying to give it some sort of tie to Disney. (Also, if this means killing the soundtrack they blast in this area, I'm ALL FOR IT.)
- New The Little Mermaid ride. Probably a dark ride like Monsters Inc.
- Toy Story Mania. Dark Ride Plus, from what I understand. Interactive. Actually, this is supposed to be opening this summer already. I'll probably check it out in the fall.
- New 12-acre Cars Land based on the Pixar movie. It says it will have three new attractions, but doesn't say what they are.
- It doesn't mention any new E-Ticket rides, which is what that park really needs. It actually could use a couple new ones. But maybe the Cars Land will have a Florida-style Test Track, which would make sense.
