2nd non-you-know-what post of the day!

The Simpsons Movie was on sale for $10 at Target, so I figured why not? I started watching the commentary, but wound up turning it off because it'd been too long since I'd seen the actual movie and wanted to watch that. The movie's not the best in the world (and Futurama's writing is WAY sharper than Simpsons these days), but it still made me laugh in places. Like this:

"We're trapped like rats!"

"No, rats aren't this easy to trap. You're trapped like...carrots."

ETA: Oh, speaking of Futurama, I think the next DVD comes out in March! WOO! "The Beast With a Thousand Backs" How's that for a title? HEH!

Spider Pig
Spider Pig
Does whatever a spider pig does
Can he swing
From a web
No he can't
He's a pig

This is so gonna be stuck in my head all day.

*snickers*

I LOVE the choral version they did of that.

Bender!!

Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeroes everywhere... and I thought I saw a two.

Mind you I have discovered that many people seem to share Fry's love of all things bacon. I recently saw a recipe for bacon ice cream and bacon chocolate chip cookies (with pictures) among other things.

I like bacon but not THAT much. EW!

Are we going to get a compare-and-contrast between The Simpsons Movie and Family Guy: Blue Harvest? XD

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-27 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
HA! I'm not sure how you'd even begin to compare the two...

$10?! Somebody is going to have to go to Target!

How is the first (?) Futurama DVD? Of the new new ones, not already aired eps, anyway. I've been tempted, but wanted a review.

Better hury! It said the sale was only through Saturday!

And I really liked the first Futurama DVD. Although the first 5 minutes or so kinda threw me out of it for a bit. They basically do 4th wall jokes about getting cancelled and stuff, which all felt a bit weird to me, but the rest of it was good. And even had a couple of "awwww" moments. :)

Hee, I went today. :D

Ooooh! How long is it and what sort of extras? It's on my list, but I'm debating where it should be on the list.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-28 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
It's got decent extras. Two different commentaries, deleted scenes and some other stuff I can't remember right now.

Whoops! I got the title wrong. Oh well. Anyway, IMDB is saying the release date is March 18.

Just checked tvshowsondvd.com and they are saying June/July. But still more Futurama.
