I'm feeling on the bored side today. Like I want to do something but not sure what. I could create yet another community - one about Who-related cooking and recipes perhaps. You know, for Dalek...burgers. What am I saying? There's probably already one out there.

I'm betting Daleks, well...probably just the Cult of Skaro, would put onions in their burgers. And then there'd be Jack Harkness' Almost as Good as Sex Cake.

Watched Lost last night. I thought it was all pretty cool, even though it introduced something completely new. Not sure why the mouse went forward in time and Desmond went back in time, but oh well. Or the fact that an apparent paradox was created with the mouse... *tries not to think about it*

I'm glad Desmond and Penny got to talk. Hope they'll actually be reunited.

I'm assuming that you've seen this?

I have! Too adorkable!

Why am I think this new cooking Who comm is going to spew out more cake vs pie debate?

And I have no words for Lost. I'm still trying to get over the last minute of last week's episode. That was a total "WTF? Kate!?!"

It probably would. Nasty pastry wars!

Yeah, no kidding. I'm thinking either Claire dies or Kate runs off with the kid. Oh! Or the boat people could kidnap the kid, and Kate just takes him as part of that whole cover-up they've got going.

Please note the Dalek cake above, clearly, cake is not a force of good in this universe ;-P

No. No it's not.

Jack Harkness' Almost as Good as Sex Cake

Don't you mean Almost as Good as Sex with Me Cake?

Haven't you learned by now to not think too long on time travel and paradoxes? After all, if you can't cross a timeline where you are part of established events, how did he go back and rewatch the whole of the opening ceremonies the last time the Olympics were in London. It seems you can't do that only when it's a convient plot device.

*smacks head* Yes. Yes, I do.

I know. I just can't seem to stop trying to make sense of it all.

You could create the official No More Series 4 Spoilers, Thanks Who Bunker, if [livejournal.com profile] ivydoor's not gotten around to it already.

Or you, with your extensive Disney expertise, could start theoretical plans for a Who theme park.

I would be the worst creator ever for that community since I can't seem to stop clicking on spoilers and then crying about it after.

Or you, with your extensive Disney expertise, could start theoretical plans for a Who theme park.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH.

Vortex Flume Ride!

Jack Mountain!

If anyone could figure out a trick for doing a bigger-on-the-inside TARDIS, it'd be Disney (I'm thinking an elevator).

[identity profile] nicachick007.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Just gimme a few years and I'll work on it. I'm going to be an Imagineer, and then I can sneak the tricks of the trade out the back to you and we can make this a reality.

Also side note for mrv: Disney Experts unite! I didn't realize you were that into Disney until I read your AP post. I'm an AP too, though, being at school in Oregon, I haven't gone as much as I'd like but I'm going back for spring break! *bounces* We must compare notes. And about the Disneyland Dreams Suite, I see your point on the whole "only one in a million people will ever get to go there," but as a specially selected AP, I got invited to a special one hour tour of the Suite, which I would have loved to go to, but since I'm here and it's there, and I can't get out of school, would like to go in my place if I could figure out how to get it transfered to you? It would be on the day of your choice (assuming they haven't filled that time slot yet) between the 3rd and the 6th of March. Let me know if you're interested!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, that would be cool except the 3rd through the 6th are weekdays, sadly. :(

But Disney Experts unite!! I'm always tempted to go on one of their formal park tours, but I'm afraid I'd already know everything. :D

[identity profile] nicachick007.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah the sad truth of the world is, it not? I swear thought that someday I'm going to get in there, if it's the last thing I do.

I want to go on one of those tours anyway. And then if I knew something else, I could show up the tour guid. Which might not be particularly nice, but it'd be fun. :D I am a Disney fiend, and I have a mini library of Disney books, the crowning jewels of which are my Imagineering book and my Disney Encyclopedia *hugs* Have you read anything good? I'd also recommend DisneyWar by James Stewart and the Mouse Tales books by David Koenig.

Sorry. I'm a geek.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-03-01 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
I've heard of but not read those books. I tend to read a website or two though. Like miceage.com.

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I tried [livejournal.com profile] hermits_united but it was taken. Dammit.

NUTS.

BWAHAHAHAHA!

For dyslexic spoilerphobes. XD

I managed to get [livejournal.com profile] s4hermitsunited though. (If that one had been taken I think I would have given up. Heh.)

*pokes* Post something! I'm bored!

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
BWAH! Gimme a second. *laughs* I've got bored kids to entertain too. They've decided throwing moon sand on the floor no longer holds the fascination it did five minutes ago.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, I wish I had some moon sand.

[identity profile] vegmb.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow. I hate that stuff. I thought it was really cool until my daughter decided to dump all of hers in the carpet one day.

[identity profile] fauxkaren.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm mostly commenting just to use this icon. hahaha. But I actually loved last night's episode. The reason that that rat went forward and Des went backwards is just chance. The radiation just causes a person to become unstuck in time, but doesn't dictate where they go. I'm not sure that the mouse was a paradox because couldn't Daniel have taught the mouse how to run the maze while Daniel was konked out? I don't know. I try not to think about it too much.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
That is an awesome icon. :D

And I guess Daniel could have taught the mouse in the maze while he was out. *tries really hard not to think about it*

[identity profile] fauxkaren.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoops. I meant that he did it while DES was out. And he said that Des was out for 75 minutes. So that's like an hour and 15 minutes.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I caught what you meant. :D

[identity profile] vegmb.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I love where your imagination goes when you're bored.

[identity profile] principia-coh.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ceiling Cat is watching you procrastinate!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ceiling Cat is omnipotent.

But present-Desmond didn't go back in time. Past-Desmond was pulled forward into present-Desmond.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
How could that be if present-Desmond was the one exposed to the weird thing?

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! What, pray tell, is wrong about onions on burgers? I happen to think they taste nice.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
So do I! Everything about Daleks doesn't have to be evil. Sure they deal out massive genocide, but maybe they make a nice burger. ;)

[identity profile] principia-coh.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Little known fact: The Cult of Skaro experimented with taking over the universe by converting their plungers to steamers and turning themselves into mobile espresso carts, but found that Starbucks had gotten there first.

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so true. But at least the Daleks didn't go so far as to try the weird that is Honey Lattes....

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG. Maybe they ARE...

Honey Lattes: The new Bad Wolf/Torchwood/Saxon.

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahaha! But Bad Wolf was a good thing in the end!

[identity profile] principia-coh.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I tried a Honey Latte when I was coming in to work at o-dark-early on Monday (my local wasn't even going to be open for another hour and a half). I didn't think it was bad, per se, but it was a) a skim and b) made with them just dumping honey on top of the foam. I dunno if that's correct, but it wasn't cloyingly sweet.

All things considered, I'd much rather take just about anything from a local coffee joint (or even most other chains) than Starbucks. They do burn their beans rather badly.

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't tried it, but even my sister the Starbucks barrista thought it wasn't all that great.

I don't like their beans either, because they're so badly burnt. But the local alternative (the one that's survived literally next door to the local Starbucks) makes their coffee ridiculously strong. Lesser of two evils sort of thing. I usually go with the strong, non-coporation.

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahhh, I see. Because there's got to be something to do with all of those bodies once you're done exterminating.

Mmmm.

[identity profile] tsukara.livejournal.com 2008-03-01 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Human burgers!

[identity profile] principia-coh.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I believe she's faklempt about people putting them in burgers, which can be perfectly tasty if they're cooked first.
