You know, gmail keeps trying to pimp Torchwood S2 to me, which apparently has the tag line of "Bigger, Sexier, Deadlier" on BBCA. I'm assuming in relation to S1.

Bigger

Well...no one's put on any weight. And there still seems to be only one Torchmobile. They did gain a temporary cast member, but have now lost her again. OOOOH! The cow cube! That was bigger! (Yes, I know. Space whale. However I much prefer to think of it as a cow cube.) No, hold on. The big devil thing at the end of S1 was way bigger than the cow cube. Perhaps the end of S2 will bring a devil cow cube.

Okay, I just REALLY like saying cow cube.

Sexier

As far as I can remember, there has been WAY less sex in S2. We haven't even seen Rhys' ass this series, have we? NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING!

Deadlier

Okay, killing off one of the main characters and keeping him dead? That probably does qualify as deadlier. Especially since Suzie only lasted about a day.

The Real Difference

Less Pterodactyl sightings. :(

The clear conclusion is that this season is worse. More Pterodactyls Now!

Although...I'm fully supportive of Ianto with a semblance of personality and less Rhys nakedness.

The Pterodactyl meter is running pretty low, sadly. Ianto needs *more* personality yet IMO, but the Rhys cover-up is very very nice.

Should you be talking about cow cube and Rhys' ass in the same post?

And yes there is less sex. I also am not complaining... but something's wrong if Torchwood is backing off the sex.

But actually I really really love Season 2 so far. So much better than Season 1. My friend is currently watching Season 1 going "This is complete schlock!" And I just keep telling him, "Just hang in there... it gets better!"

But actually I really really love Season 2 so far. So much better than Season 1. My friend is currently watching Season 1 going "This is complete schlock!" And I just keep telling him, "Just hang in there... it gets better!"

After having watched it for a while, I think I like it better than the first half of S1. S2 is seeming pretty on par with the second half of S1 though.

On a slightly more serious level---I've been pleased with (most of) the characterizations this series. People have seemed to become more...people like. And those who were irritating are much less so.

I do like that they've loosend Ianto up a bit. I think he's got a ways to go yet before I'll really become interested in him. And I'd still like more Jack info, please.

Seriously though, I'm enjoying series 2 far more than I did series 1. Although, I did love the whole "Jack finds the Doctor's hand and keeps it in a bubbling jar hidden away from everyone else in the hopes of seeing him again" plot line in series 1 :D

I constantly thank everything that is holy that we have not seen Rhys' ass this series. Of course, having said that, I have now jinxed our good ass-less fortune and now we will most likely see it in one of the upcoming episodes D: *throws salt over shoulder*

Ianto looks like he's put on a bit of weight this series, I just watched a few series 1 eps, followed by series 2 eps, and he looks puffier in the face area.
