Yo

  • Someone on my flist had a story of a possessed doorbell, but I didn't comment because I'm weird. (I don't *think* I commented...) I see something on my flist, think to myself that I should comment, but keep reading the flist. And so half the stuff I mean to comment on, I never do. And PFFOOOM! The posts go away into the skip=200+ pit. So anyway, I can't remember who it was with the possessed doorbell, but very freaky! I hope your doorbell is no longer possessed. Was the battery low?

  • OMG I HAVE 14 DAYS TO FINISH MY FICATHON PIECE! *MASSIVE FLAILINGS* ACK!!

  • St. Patrick's Day, huh? I suppose I should go get something green to eat. Maybe the office needs cupcakes or something.

Oh! I was supposed to read and comment on that, wasn't I? I think. Um. *sneakily slides cookies in your direction*

St. Patrick's Day, huh?

Yes! There was a parade here yesterday and everything! Which I didn't go to because it started at 12pm and that seemed way, way too early on a Sunday morning. Some angry French Canadian nationalists complained about it being "too English," though, and that amused me.

Noooo. I think you were going to finish it for me. I seem to remember this entire conversation about it. One of those mental things, so don't bother asking for email backup.

HA!! Yesterday when I was feeling poorly, I managed to sleep in until about 8:45 a.m. :D

They do know there's a difference between England and Ireland, right?

Hmm. Don't remember that one.

Sneaky!

When I have to leave the student life behind, I think being a real adult and getting up before 9am is going to kill me. No wonder people stay in academia for their whole lives.

Well, it was more about the English-language. As in, people daring to speak English on St. Patrick's Day. (I almost originally put the word "Anglophone," but outside of Quebec, it's not even a proper word. You can't see it, but my Firefox spellcheck is highlighting it accusingly right now!)

You might have been sleeping.

Sadly, you get used to it. I could sleep until at least noon when in college. Of course, now I pass out on the couch at 10 p.m. already...

Oh wow! :D That's some pretty hard-core isolationism going there. Is isolationism the right word? Close enough.

Are you sure you weren't the one who was sleeping?

Sadly, you get used to it.

EEEEEEK.

Hee! I made it to bed last night by 1:30, and I was so proud of myself. :D

I'm mostly used to the crazy by now, but every once in a while there are the things that make me roll my eyes more than usual.

A... possessed doorbell? Huh. That's not one I've heard of.

OMG I HAVE 14 DAYS TO FINISH MY FICATHON PIECE!

Do you need/want someone else to look at it? *pets*

Someone was being tormented in the middle of the night.

Do you need/want someone else to look at it? *pets*

You've seen it already. It was a while back. You made a note about the big holes in it, and I've done absolutely nothing about them yet. Also, in a fit of melodramatic fic diva-ness, I'm not sure if I like it much anymore. :D

[identity profile] jcd1013.livejournal.com 2008-03-18 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
You don't want to experience it, lemme tell you.

http://jcd1013.livejournal.com/120610.html for the whole story.

*shares corned beef brisket with cabbage & potatoes*

I saw that doorbell story. I WOULD HAVE FREAKED. They would need the jaws of life to pry me from the ceiling.

That sounds kinda good right now. I'm getting hungry for dinner.

ME. TOO.

It was goooooood. Hee! I'd send you some, but, uh, cooked cabbage doesn't package well. :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-03-18 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
No, I wouldn't think so. :D

Um, the doorbell was me. The batteries of the doorbell had been very recently changed (as in last week), because the doorbell hadn't worked in months. They have since been removed and will not be placed back in. Whoever wants to talk to me (especially at 1 in the morning) is going to have to knock (and I probably will still cower under my bed because I'm weak and silly like that AND YES SOME MURDERERS WILL RING THE DOORBELL WHEN THEY WANT TO MURDER YOU BECAUSE THEN YOU'LL OPEN THE DOOR). Sorry, I've gotten a lot of flak about my fears.

I've been craving corned beef and cabbage for weeks now and was planning to make it for dinner tonight. Then they served it for lunch at work today and there has gone that desire! Ugh, it was disgusting.

THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD BE ANSWERING THE DOOR AT 1 A.M.

I don't blame you one bit.

HA! Yeah, get some bad corned beef and cabbage and BLECH.

OMG, that happens to me all the time. I've started keeping a scratch pad by the computer to jot a user name down so that I can go back later. *sigh*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-03-18 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
That's way more organized than me! I usually just remember something about freaky doorbells or cats throwing up on beds or what have you.

I do that too. I feel so guilty about it, I made an unspoken Chinese New Year's Resolution about it. And then I broke it repeatedly. I fail.

St. Patrick's Day, huh? I suppose I should go get something green to eat. Maybe the office needs cupcakes or something.

Corned Beef & Cabbage is probably one of my favorite foods in the world. Mostly the cabbage. I don't know why! I think I just like crock-pot food in general. Or, it might have something to do with the beer we use for cooking it. Maybe.

I generally like raw cabbage instead of cooked. But beer-ed up cabbage? Gotta be good!

I love all kinds of cabbage (normal, red, Bok Choy, Brussels Sprouts...), but due to unfortunate pre-teen food experiments, I can't eat it raw. Lightly steamed is best. Lightly steamed with beer is brilliant.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-03-18 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I could go for the lightly steamed thing. Don't really care for mushed. That I have to eat with potatoes or something.
