You know, that's kind of funny. I'm from California (grew up in NoCal, spent 6 yrs in SoCal), then lived a year in Indiana before moving to TX ...
I've always called it "Coke" or "Soda" - typically Coke.
And I find it vastly amusing that nobody in Floyd county, IN (and only 4 people in Clark county) calls it "pop" ... I lived in both counties in the year I was in Indiana, and that was almost *all* I ever heard (which is why I loathe that term so much). Of course, there are other things I could say, but I'll stop myself here.
Also, I'm breaking my co-worker from Michigan of the "Pop" habit ;) He's starting to say "Soda" now :) Mwahahahahaha!!
