All glory to the hypnotoad!! What's that, you say? You do not know the bliss that is hypnotoad?

http://sg1michelle.homestead.com/lj/hypnotoad.wmv (around 600 kb)

And now a few quotes from The Day the Earth Stood Stupid:
Nibbler: The brain spawn hate all consciousness. The thoughts of others scream at them like the forced laughs of a billion art-house movie patrons.

    *

Fry: Got to find something to make me think. Hardy Boys - too easy. Nancy Drew - too hard. Aha, perfect! Bonfire of the Vanities!

    *

Fry: Now he's trapped in a book I wrote: a crummy world of spelling errors and plot holes.

Giant Brain: The big brain am winning again! I am the GREETEST! Now I am leaving Earth for NO RAISIN!

That and the Star Trek ep have to be my two fave Futurama eps. TBS isn't showing it at 11am anymore and we don't get Cartoon Network. Must resist buying the DVDs.

"The thoughts of others scream at them like the forced laughs of a billion art-house movie patrons." = that has to be one of my favorite lines ever.

Thank you for the hypnotoad.

The Star Trek ep! Classic!

Aww, TBS stopped that? Shoot. I'm still watching that every night on the Cartoon Network. But yeah - I really shouldn't be buying the DVDs right now either.

There's so much sharp humor in this show. So sad that it didn't last. :( At least there were 5 seasons (I think).

Thank you for the hypnotoad.

HAIL!

There's been an effort to get it back. Cartoon Network thought of bringing it back with origianl eps. Wish they would. I think sometimes it's funnier and more clever than Simpsons.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-10 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
I really hope they do. Would just love it! I do think they get to be a lot more creative sometimes because they have no limits on subject matter. The more fantastical, the better. :)

Exactly!

Hypnotoad-induced quacking. Stellar.

You're quackers.

Someone's trying to get me to watch Futurama. So last night we spent way too long laughing at quotes from eps. How is it I can think the show sounds hysterical but not be moved to go catch some eps?

That show is so quotable!

Monks locked in the laundry room: "Let us out! We cooked our shoes in the dryer and ate them! Now we're bored!"

I don't know. Hmm.

It so is. I think I'm partial to Farnsworth (is that his name?) right now.

Monks locked in the laundry room: "Let us out! We cooked our shoes in the dryer and ate them! Now we're bored!"

Hahaha

I don't know. Hmm.

Probably has something to do with the tv being too far away from the computer. Oh well...

*hunts for downloads*

D'oh!

Very easy to come by. Try "Luck of the Fryish". Still one of my favorite eps. :)

After seeing that episode, that quote became the sort-of motto of my writing group. :)

Hahaha! Love the icon, Michelle. You've even got the eyes going and everything. ;)

*sighs* I wish I could watch Futurama...

Heh heh heh - *gotta* have the eye thing!

*sighs* I wish I could watch Futurama...

:( Download? Rent? Buy?

The hypnotoad wouldn't be the same without it. ;)

Hmm, I haven't seen it for sale/rental around here. As for downloading - not going to happen with my parents and my dial-up connection. *sighs*
