And I wonder where I get it from.

So I stumble down to the kitchen this morning, making a beeline for the coffee when I notice something a bit odd in my parents' kidless house.

Me: *turns head to the side* Is that...um...wha...why...Mom, why do you have Scooby Doo paper towels?

Mom: Nothing but the best.

Your mom sounds like my mom.

I'm a big Winnie the Pooh and Blue's Clues fan, myself.

Aww! :)

The funny thing is that I don't think she's ever bought a cartoon anything in her life. The parents are getting silly in their old age. *g*

Good for them! Some of the most mature (not old, mature) people really understand the importance of play.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:38 am (UTC)(link)
So true. :)

[identity profile] lisayaeger.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa! They make Scooby Doo paper towels?!?! Where in the heck can I get some? We have Scooby Snacks for the dog, and she has a Scooby ring toy. We won't mention the Scooby icon I pleaded with Meg to give me... :-)

I feel like standing up and saying, "My name is Lisa Y. and I have a Scooby problem"!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
*snicker*

You *should* have a Scooby icon!

I'm not sure where she got those paper towels. Hmm. She shops a lot at Costco and Sam's Club. Maybe there?

[identity profile] lisayaeger.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
You know where I'll be later today!!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee!!

[identity profile] audrich.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I gotta ask....

*with* or *without* Scrappy Doo?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
*runs to check*

Without Scrappy. Thank goodness.

[identity profile] audrich.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
*phew*

You had me worried...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
No kidding! That's a *major* concern.

*mutters* Annoyingly freaky little dog.

[identity profile] audrich.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
They show the repeats on a cartoon channel here, even my daughter wants to turn it over when 'it' comes on.

*pats* She so discerning for four.

And she thinks the early Daniel Jackson is a girl.
So I tell her: "Yes, sugarplum, you are correct."

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Poor early girl-hair Daniel - to be mentioned in the same comment as the horror that is Scrappy Doo.

We just have the plain white, or white with nondescript prints, ones. Not sure I've seen cartoon character paper towels before. I guess it could be on a brand I don't buy, which is probably why I've never seen them.

Can't say I've noticed them anywhere before either. :-\

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Your mom is cool.

Apple crisp?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
She is! :) And we finished up the last of the apple crisp last night. Mmmmmm.

[identity profile] suzvoy.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
We have Christmas ones already. Hee.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I swear, one of these years we're going to start seeing Christmas stuff in June already.

[identity profile] suzvoy.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't surprise me.

[identity profile] splash-the-cat.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Someday the saying "Christmas in July" just might be meant literally.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
OY!

[identity profile] vicki595.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hehehe :D

I need some paper towels, thinking about it...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Make sure they're Scooby Doo ones!

[identity profile] vicki595.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
If I can find some!!

I have Winnie the Pooh tissues :)

[identity profile] vicki595.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, they have Winnie and Piglet on :)

Not Tigger though :(

[identity profile] samkicksass.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
That sooo rocks!!!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-10-30 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
