Puppet vampires? BWAH!! Yes, please! It's just as good as a flying zombie fish. :D Someone clearly has way too much fun with this show.
But I thought Middleman/Lacey was supposed to be DONE. Obviously not. You know, normally I wouldn't care a lick - I can easily be indifferent to ships (see BSG) - but for some reason it's like nails down a chalkboard for me when these two characters are together.
ANYWAY.
Middleman dropped the "she's not the only woman I love" line last night. What do you want to bet it's his mother? Seriously, my money's on that one. ("Wendy, this is my MiddleMom." "You seriously call her 'MiddleMom?'") Either that or it'll be like Tosh's frozen boyfriendcicle in Torchwood. (I'm thinking too much about a show that has vampire puppets, aren't I?)
Speaking of which, I miss Torchwood.

Yes, it was a whole thing at the end of last week's episode, remember? Basically, instead of he jacket, she's wearing a grey vest and he tie is looser and the shirt isn't buttoned up all the way.

Hear, hear. Y’know, I think I’d like this show better without the romance. Wendy/Tyler is adorable, but there’s this little voice in the back of my head whispering, “He’s a bad guy.” I’m not sure why. And I have to fast-forward through the Middleman/Lacey scenes. I love both characters, but I can’t stand them together.
Still, puppet vampires. I <3 this show.

I just don't think it adds anything to the show. I won't make the blanket statement that romance doesn't belong in sci-fi/fantasy, but it just seems clunky on this show.

I wind up changing the channel, and then forgetting to change back because Anthony Bordain is on at the same time (and I haven't used my VCR in years.)
I love both characters, but I can’t stand them together.
Totally. Every time I see Lacey, she grows on me more. And the Middleman is such a fun character. But put them together and they become dumb as bricks. It's...you know what it is? They're doing a campy, self-mocking version of love, filled with swooning and "pillow lips" and "true love," but yet at the same time they want us to take it seriously, adding that hurt element to the characters when things go wrong. It's bizarre.
Still, puppet vampires. I <3 this show.

And while I definitely like Wendy/Tyler, I'd like to see MM/Dubby. and also I'd like to see Tyler become a MM.
