Still alive
Feel halfway normal today, which is strange. I sort of hate saying that because every time I do, it seems to hit me with a vengeance hours later.
Haven't been keeping up with LJ too well. Here and there. But I have been watching a lot of old movies. One series I went through was some Dorothy L. Sayers mysteries thing made back in the 80s, I think. It was so adorably stereotypically British. Well, Masterpiece Theater kind of British. "Darling, if you'll marry me I'll take it as good indication that you like me." And stuff like that. :D I'm sad though - apparently there was a final book which they didn't turn into a miniseries. I got sort of addicted to "she's dancing with another man, which makes me peeved enough to give a slight glare at them through my monocle." It looks like there was an audiobook done, which I might have to order. Why don't places let you buy and download audiobooks? If a place would have offered it, I would have done it. I wanted instant gratification.
I've moved on to Miss Marple. Not as entertaining since I kind of like the romance subplot (and they're slow as hell). I have a thing for sleuthing couples. (Which is why Nancy needs to dump Ned and hook up with Frank, which would be the most awesome sleuthing duo ever.)
Sort of bored, which is an improvement over exhausted.

Especially since you daring to take an evening off the internet led to panicked email conversations and me trying to assure Frances that you were fine! That's what you get for taking an evening off, m'dear! ;-)

Wait... you mean people in America *don't* talk like this? ;-)

(Apparently the latest Miss Marple series turned one of the T&T books into an episode too...but am leery of it because Miss Marple's presence seems to preclude T&T doing the sleuthing as they properly should. Alas. At least I'll always have James and Francesca. *g*)
And when you finish with those, every Doctor Who fan *has* to watch Campion sooner or later, right? Since it stars Peter Davison... ;-) (Keep an eye out for the episode with Lysette Anthony--her character is the one he eventually marries in the books, and eeeee they are adorable!)
Can you tell I'm rather addicted to old British mysteries? *g*

I love Tommy & Tuppence! I read a lot of Agatha Christie novels as a kid, and I always liked those best. Didn't even occur to me that there was a series out! Sadly they're not on Netflix's instant watching, but I'm adding the DVDs to my queue. Thanks!

Hmmm. You're probably right. I still haven't found that new series - doesn't look like it's on DVD for rental.

Romantic subplot? \o/ I saw those DVDs - and actually Campion is on their instant watch list - but I was sort of indifferent because I'd never heard of it.

Thanks for the recs!
