I really enjoyed this. I don't think there was a single time I felt the lack of visual - the whole thing put a clear enough picture in my head. It's from the same writer who did "A Day in the Death," (and also the person who wrote Martha's Myspace blog, but we'll just forget about that, shall we?)

From what it sounds like, this takes place after "Exit Wounds" but before "Journey's End." And one thing given a large amount of play is the team dealing with the loss of Owen and Tosh. It even becomes an element to the plot.

Martha guest stars, getting the team to Switzerland to investigate strange goings on at the LHC facility - something that's actually being tested in real life today. (Fun little tie-in to a real world event.) At different times, Martha gets Jack and Gwen to talk a bit about Tosh and Owen. Jack feels incredible guilt about it. And when Gwen talked about it, I got a bit sniffly.

Ianto also goes through it since he's the one who winds up "hearing" Owen, Tosh and Lisa. (Wow, the Lisa history hasn't disappeared off the face of the Earth!) But even more important, I laughed out loud several times, and they were all Ianto lines. :D (Ianto getting to be the Ambassador from Wales with Jack as his personal assistant? MWAH.)

And it all had a sufficient amount of crack considering Jack solved it all at the end by reversing the polarity. *snickers*

So thumbs up here!

P.S. Keep an ear out for a line that's a throwback to Nine in DW's S1.

WHY DO I HAVE SCHOOL? I WANT TW.

It was so good hearing the theme song again! I've missed it!

I plan on saving this for my after-surgery, laid-up OMG SO BORED NAO time. :D But I'm glad to hear it's certainly worth a listen.

I definitely thought so, but I'm sort of getting addicted to audio plays lately. I didn't really expect much in the way of character stuff, so having them touch on Tosh and Owen was a nice surprise.

I loved it :D

It was generally hilarious and the SCIENCE made my ears bleed. But hee! :D

And I noticed the Nine line too! :D

I cracked up at the science stuff too. But that's Torchwood/Doctor Who for you. :D

Oh, I just realized! Gwen/Gweneth was IN that episode with the Nine line! How fun is that?

Yeah, me too. Also, a shortened TW S3, only a few DW specials... It's all gonna pass very quickly once it's there :( *clings to other series*

Yay! Can't wait to listen to that. GDL was discussing it at DragonCon, he was quite irritated that they only gave him the scripts the day of recording. Because he thought they gave him some pretty good lines, but thought he could've done much better with actual time to read the script.

On a related note- always thought Ianto was rather on the adorable side. But in person? In a range of cute that goes from 1 (baby alligators) to 10 (puppies frolicking in daisies) GDL hits about a fifteen (puppies and kittens and bunnies and baby penguins rolling around in a bubble factory)

I KNOW! He reversed the polarity of the Proton flow, at least. Which reminds me of when people tried to convince me that my salt lamp threw out positive ions, but whatevs. :D
