I've been hermit-ing this weekend. But at least I made some Harriet and Peter icons from the BBC adaptations of "Have His Carcase" and "Gaudy Night."

"I shall, with your permission, continue to propose to you, at decently regulated intervals - as a birthday treat, and on Guy Fawkes Day and on the Anniversary of the King's Accession. But consider it, if you will, as a pure formality. You need not pay the smallest attention to it."

"Peter, it's foolish to go on like this."

"And, of course, on the Feast of All Fools."

:) I couldn't help myself. I started watching them all again (yay for Netflix online viewing) and couldn't help making caps as I went.

You make me want to read these books :)

They really are fun. :)

I feel I must tell you that I bought the Netflix Roku player to do the "watch it now" on the TV and I have been absolutely wallowing. Wallowing, I say. I watched the first 3 seasons of The Office (never watched it, now love it) and then bought season 4 so I was all prepared when the new season started Thursday. If you don't watch this show, you should. I think you'd like it.

Currently, I am in Season 2 of Ballykissangel. I have nearly 100 on the Instant Queue. Definitely well worth the $99 it cost.

How goes the breathing?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-09-29 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen that Roku thing. Does it have to run through a computer?

I've watched a few episodes of The Office, but it's just not a show I can get into for some reason.

I thought about Ballykissangel, but I'm not sure I could watch it after Vicar of Dibley.

The breathing is managable, but not cured.

It needs an Internet connection. We have wireless in the house so it uses that.

It took me a few episodes to get into the Office but I'm glad I stuck. I also have the Vicar of Dibley in my Instant Queue.

When do we get new DW and Torchwood???

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2008-09-29 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
New DW: Christmas ep.

New Torchwood: There was a new audio play a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise...spring? I'm not sure, really.

Now I'm trying to decide if I can make room for more than one Lord Peter icon. But I don't know which I would choose.

Damn.

Heh heh heh.

Thanks for these! :) I suppose I will have to get the box set sometimes, although I wasn't as happy with GN as I remember it. However, too bad that they didn't film Busman's Honeymoon with this cast.

Gaudy Night is SO different from the book it's barely recognizable. I enjoy the screen version as long as I don't think about it too much.

I really wish they'd have done Busman's Honeymoon as well. It would have been adorable.

Alright! Years later, I am back for more of these. I think I must have #13 and #19. YAY!

Hee!!
