  • Well, that was a bit underwhelming. I wasn't overly excited about anyone's collection. I think I liked Korto's the best, simply because it appealed to me the most. Leanne's was neat, but...that's a whole lot of flaps. I think my favorite piece was one that didn't really have that whole flap thing going on. Kenley's was...for the life of me I can't remember anything other than that painted dress with the poofy sleeves. I'm drawing a blank.

So...yawn. All their stuff seemed good, but nothing really stood out at me. This season kind of went out on a meh.

  • Why was McCain blinking so much? *blink blink blink blink blink* Does he normally do that and I haven't noticed before? It was strange. Also, could he have been more sarcastic and condescending? (Not really qualities you want in a leader.) You'd think that if polls keep saying that people are being turned off by the whole aggressive thing he's doing, that he'd...try something else? But I suppose the people buzzing in his ear are ones who think the only way to win is to keep up the attacks. Or maybe he's just really like that - we've finally gotten to see the real McCain. I don't know. I just wish it were November 4 so we could be done with this all already. *mails off ballot*

The blinking thing was just making me crazy! It was so bloody distracting! I don't normally pay attention to him but this just seemed unreal. (shudders). Maybe he's an alien.

Maybe the Slitheen gas exchange was building up... ;D

oh god! (dies laughing) that would account for it!

good one, Ms. M!

Well, he does want to drill a lot... ;)

I think he's really like that. He's got a rep among people who actually have to work with him on a daily basis as being a real nasty piece of work with a very short fuse and anger management issues.

The blinking? People blink when they lie. And he's done that in every debate I've seen him in. He darts his tongue out of his mouth a lot too, like a friggin Death Eater. Also another sign of possible dissembling.

Sounds exactly the type of personality we need interacting with other countries.

I didn't notice the tongue thing, thank goodness. I don't think I want to focus on John McCain's tongue. HEH. But the blinking thing. I didn't know it was possible to blink that much! It wasn't like I was looking for some petty fault against him, but it was just SO distracting.

He was blinking morse code. "Help....campaign....failing....morals...gone....Palin....nuts....."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

BEST. THING. EVER.

He really does blink like a lizard. I agree with whoever said he's a Slitheen. And his rhetoric style is just so bad and unsubstantial; if I did that in class I'd have teachers jumping down my throat, but of course I'm only a meaningless undergraduate with critical thinking skills, not a presidential candidate.

SO ready for the election to be over so I can have chucked my Libertarian vote at the establishment and be done with it.

You're overqualified in learnin' and underqualified in moose shooting.

HEH.

The blinking kept distracting me.

I ran across an article that talked about body language last night, which seemed pretty picky when it came to both candidates, but it failed to mention the blinking! HOW?? It was like...how could you not mention the blinking? It was pretty much the only body language I noticed for either of them.

Yeah me too. I just. Kept having to remind myself to listen to him no watch his blinking.

I should have stuck to listening to it on the radio.

I guess I was glad Leanne won. I think Korto's stuff is the most wearable, but I'm really into the architectural elements too. But, it was totally underwhelming, and Kenley's dress that was judged was the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Why would you ever want black squares on your boobs? I don't get it.

Someone at TWoP posted the Balenciaga dress that looked like Kenley's, and omg the are the same. It also looks like something my Barbie had in 1990.

Wow, those really are the same. At least at the end she admitted that she needed to look at other stuff. I think she had the notion of "OMG I am so original!!" that the thought of anyone already having that idea wasn't possible. She really does need to take an art history class. It'd sort of be like a writer refusing to read literature or something.
